Anybody else's Kestrel slows down a bit when it get below 10°-15° ? Not complaining, if anything it's pretty damn impressive, my phone died from too cold, camera died , sig 2000 died, kestrel kept going strong 4-6 hours in 0-2° temps.

Good on you for getting out and about when it’s “fresh” outside. My Kestrel, Vectronix, and #2 lead pencil, hum right along when cold soaked. My phone, not so much.

Working with formed brass on the 375 this morning. Found a node that is probably high enough for me. Slight ejector marks on low charges but they extract with no real resistance. 3140-50 looks like where I’ll be. With my setup I should be good to 2960 yards before I have to hold over.65B16FC8-314E-4FCE-AEDD-57F6FA07B393.jpeg6D33CF86-82B4-4881-B262-594C11924762.png

Not my view, got home from work tonight, put drops in Pam's eye (she had cataract surgery last week), she says "why didn't you tell me how dirty the shower had got while I have been almost blind?" Managed to make a quick recovery and told her that she can now see without glasses but I can't, and I don't wear mine in the shower. Might have to look into surgery myself.

Barn,

BTDT. Run, don’t walk, get it done. It’s fast, painless and amazing.

Well this is less than impressive, but I hauled this shit home this evening. Needs a scrubbing with a brush.

I like wood😁View attachment 7230888
I would really like to see what you do with this. I am forever finding interesting stumps and blowdown at MIL farm. Not to mention the remains of her vendetta against cedar trees. Over 4,000 cut down in the last 6-7 years.

Got a new scar! Biliary duct/pancreatic duct bypass. After 17 stents since 2008 were installed, a doctor from the University of Minnesota said he pioneered the bypass and I was a perfect candidate.
6 hour operation cutting through scar tissue from first time of being opened up from gangrene infected gall stone( perpendicular scars were rubber band type sutures? To close me up).
16 days in the hospital over Xmas and New Years. I’m 5 weeks past surgery and just starting to get my strength and appetite back. All seems pretty dang good!
I gotta quit dragging my wife through this shit.View attachment 7228713

@Geno C.

do you mind sharing details of your .22 upper? Looking into stuff to build one and curious what parts guys are running.

my goal is a good combo of accuracy and reliability. Not into jammomatics....

Really, fun shooting is the goal. Those items just make it more funnerer.

Nice work BTW.

I can't say much about cutting cedar. I have several cedar pieces. My future end table piece... I have a 3" thick live edge cedar slab 24" in diameter. SC tree.

This piece however, will get cleaned and sealed. No more cutting on this one

Looks like we just lost a Hercules fire bomber down here....

edit, now confirmed, 3 crew, no survivors, The C-130 was chartered by the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) from American aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation.

Can’t hit a “like” for this 😔. Godspeed to the crew onboard.

My deer trail walk to the 760 and 1K target. Good exercise with tolerable temperatures of late. This gets kinda rough with deeper snow, wind, and negative temps. No fresh sign today of much moving around except pheasant. Five were picking through the bean stubble to my right as I walked in.
