The FAA issued a "no-fly zone" Why was that helicopter allowed to violate restricted airspace?
You can get a waiver for almost anything if you apply for it and FAA approves it.

Have landed at JFK International a couple of times in a Piper Cub with nothing but a hand-held radio while that airspace required altitude reporting radar transponder to enter. Joe Schmoe will probably not get into a TFR issued for a presidential visit but a medevac might.

One of the main rules in aviation is: If you need something, ASK. Especially, if you are in over your head with a problem.

Subjects do not matter to these people. If the capital police wanted to take a stand, that was their opportunity to do so. Call in sick for day would of sent a clear message but instead, they sent a clear message.

While everyone is yelling woohoo!!!! about the rally. Not very many people are mentioning all the proposals that will change term limits or elections themselves.

I applaud everyone that went to the rally, I was sure there was going to be a bit of violence. I was proved wrong and I am glad for it. Just remember the war is not over.

So just to put the numbers in some perspective....

An infantry division is 10,000 - 20,000 soldiers. Of which about half to two-thirds are trigger-pullers. The rest being support in one form or another... So figure anywhere between 5,000 and 13,500 folks ready-to-go as infantry.

The U.S. currently has 17 infantry divisions.

Yesterday in Virginia... there were 16,000 armed people outside the gates. Another 6,000 people inside... who were probably not far from having access to their weapons.

That's the equivalent of 1 - 3 divisions worth of able-bodied individuals who showed up armed and ready (and willing) to defend the Constitution in Richmond.

Figures show that on opening day of deer season in a state like Wisconsin, Ohio or Pennsylvania... there are up to 500,000 hunters in the woods in each state! Texas.... 725,000! On opening day alone.

Texas alone fields the number of hunters on opening day equivalent to 50 - 120 DIVISIONS of troops. The entire U.S. Army represents 17 divisions of infantry.

Now, let's translate that to the ballot box!

If every one of those folks gets out of the woods for an hour every 2 years... and goes to a polling place. Think of the difference we could make.

We have the numbers to win any kind of conflict... but that's not the point. We have the numbers to win EVERY SINGLE ELECTION. We just have to get motivated and turn that motivation into action.

Clean House 2020!

Arizona, good place for me...
My view did not prevail because it was the wrong one. I was wrong.

Today is another day, and a new one.

How much positive, and negative, impact yesterday had will be measured in terms of what the legislature does today and in the coming days.

I hope it's positive, I worry that it may be neutral or worse.

Best fortune to all in this.

The legislature has already said that they will not be swayed by the rally.

Guys, the Delegates saying the lobby day had no impact are the Progressives from the DC burbs. Of course they are going to say that, nothing can change their minds. This 30% of the House was not our target; same thing with Northam. Instead our objective was the 22% of the House that are Democrats from the more moderate parts of the state. We had a real impact on those folks - and they clearly realize if they vote for the most oppressive gun control, that they are likely done as politicians. We clearly influenced the debate with those politicians.

Need evidence of this? We have already seen it in the Senate, where there are at least 4 Democrat Senators who are NOT supporting the most oppressive gun control bills. This action happened last week and is a clear sign that the 2A Sanctuary movement has had an impact.

Don't pay attention to the EXTREMES. The middle is where the voters are, and that is where we can win - AND ARE WINNING!!!!

I don't know who this "Andy Parker" is and don't carry. He can call us any names he wants to. Andysfight - this is some type of bad joke? Don't pay any attention to this fascist who wants to de-tooth the VA and US Constitutions. Those Documents have over 200 years of meaning and power and one idiot who wants to change this isn't worth giving a soapbox to...

And we have to kick out all the illegals.. and quit letting them “upgrade” voting machines. Voter fraud needs to be a capital offense.. especially for the Puppeteers on top.

What's not being said is he's one of Terry McAuliffe's associates, therefore, tied into the Clintons. They basically carpetbagged Chris Hurst into Montgomery Co. (Blacksburg, VA) to run for office, after Parker's daughter was killed. Hurst and the late Parker were in a relationship prior to her passing, and were both anchors at WDBJ ch.7 in Roanoke.

I'll cut him a bit of slack because of his grief. His daughter was the reporter killed on live tv by a disgruntled fired coworker.
I'd be raging at the world myself. Might not be right, it's just how some people are wired.

I'd reeducate.
She was left helpless by her employers.
Weird how a cop couldn't get there fast enough.

That don’t gain any sympathy with me. Not when he is trying to violate the constitution. He could always go be a beat cop and use that rage for good.. what about all the daughters that could have been saved if someone was armed? What do you tell those girls daddies?

I'd tell them life isn't always fair and I'm sorry your kid is dead. Being armed and aware is a start. My wife and daughters all have their CCWs, we shoot bowling pins in the backyard. They think it's fun, but they know there is a reason for doing it. That guy (likely) has inconsolable rage, a hole in him from losing his kid.

I'd be raging at the world too, but that wouldn't lead me to call the good Americans who were involved in this rally "Domestic Terrorists." I would wager that if the vast majority of the folks, even unarmed, at this rally had been near his daughter during her moment of tragedy, the outcome would have been happily different. I have kids too that I send out into a dangerous world each day; if God forbid, they are ever in harms way, I would pray a good guy with a firearm had a chance to intervene.

Good editorial in Wall Street Journal - this is a center right newspaper, representing the 'middle' of the US. Its great to see these pieces as they are reaching exactly the people we need to influence: moderates, voters and generally well off financially; this makes this group very powerful.

The editorial might be behind a subscription but you really only need to read the title: "Virginia Is for Gun Owners: A peaceful protest shows wide support for the Second Amendment." It also describes Northam as on the extreme and funded by big special interests (Bloomberg), putting him out of touch with voters. "In the runup to the rally many, including Gov Ralph Northam, pushed the idea that this was going to be another Charlottesville. But gun owners even picked up their own trash." What an effective contrast... and who doesn't support folks that pick up their own trash?

It may not have satisfied the firebrands but any fence sitter reading that, and I bet most readers are, couldn't help but see the contrast with Occupy and Antifa.

2A is neither a left or right issue, it should be important to all.

What is the biggest show of power is that many tens of thousands of gun owners united on one common goal, peaceful protest.
The aggressive and disrespectful leftists are never this peaceful.

I saw or read somewhere that no anti gun groups were there, and that does appear to be true

I also read that they were asked not to show, just not sure 100% by who

Did Northam or Bloomberg ask the anti gun groups to stand down?

If so, that shows a tremendous amount of control over these groups (or puppets maybe is a better term?)

Anyone else think that it is really unusual that no anit gun groups were here? Seems too easy they weren't

Here is another good editorial (w/o a sub required)

This was sent to me by a moderate friend who is not a firearms owner, but now feels more support for the 2A. Big win guys, big win.

On the question of what is next in VA, ball is in Dems court. Do they escalate with more threats of "National Guard Deployment" and push the most aggressive bills?

To prevent this, we should continue to email/communicate with the Senators and Delegates, especially the moderates I ID'ed in my thread https://forum.snipershide.com/threads/va-delegates-and-senators-who-might-be-influenced-to-support-2a-and-constitution.6981356/

And then we absolutely need to get out to vote in November. And get all our family and friends out too. This is clear more than ever that we can't allow someone else to protect our liberties.
