That's a lot of people. No real aerial shot so no reference that I can see as to how many. I've read anything from 10 to 40k.

It won't change shit for now as the smug politicans have their minds made up a long time ago and will now just fucking hide. This was a litmus test for 'will people still be mad in a month' and I think we see the answer of why VA is different than the populus that surrendered CA and NY.

Real question is, what happens next.

The FAA issued a "no-fly zone" Why was that helicopter allowed to violate restricted airspace?
TFR isn't a no fly zone. It's a temporary flight RESTRICTION. Meaning you need prior authorization (they give you a squawk code and sometimes callsign) to enter the airspace. You bet news and govt aircraft are allowed.

FWIW, TFRs are a daily occurrence. All pro sporting events have small ones generally as well as anywhere high-level officials travel. It's so common, than checking for last-minute "pop up" TFRs is one of the last things you do prior to takeoff, and even get updates from "Radio" or ATC enroute.

Just got back. There were more than 50K there.... nut to butt almost everywhere....
It was amazing really. Patriots from all over that have never seen each other in their lives before talking like they’ve known each other for all their lives. In one word I was PROUD of my countrymen.

That footage is of inside the cage. I see no shots where they show the streets outside.

There was a drone there as well. I suspect a State owned drone but it was overhead so there are shots, for certain.

Here's my take on Lobby Day,
Yes it was historic but I really believe that it would have been even more if not for some things...
#1 They did not pass a Red Flag Bill.
#2 No Assault Weapons Ban Bill yet.
#3 Many were scared that it was a trap.
#4 Frigid temperatures

If this had been different then we may have seen 120,000

Still, what happened was impressive to say the least.
All of pro 2A people together causing no issues sends an even stronger message to Northam.

When there is a protest day, I look for that to be the BIG one.

I couldn't see the people on the lawn or the Capital from any of my vantage points, was that the Republican Representatives that came out onto the steps of the Capital?

Negative, that was just some dude and was early, right after they let us in at 0800. I did get to see and hear Amanda Chase, Senator from Chesterfield, speak about 50 yds from this spot, but my picture of that one stinks. That damn chain link fence was in the way - I was inside it and she was on the outside.

Here is my picture of the fence.

The helicopter footage does not do it justice. There were 20 times that number outside the wire.
Was just thinking that. All the streets and side streets surrounding the capitol grounds were packed, and you couldn't find a street for blocks in all directions that weren't occupied by several groups of people - most visibly armed. Everyone getting along and peaceful. I've never felt to safe in Richmond. It was great.

Probably had the lowest reported crime rate in the entire history of downtown Richmond.

That one handgun per month law will prevent CAS competitors from buying matched pairs of Ruger Vaqueros?

Shocker. Google images and general news related to "white couple", "black couple" and see how your search goes......... you may or may not be surprised at the results.
The second search was a little more accurate than the first lol. Definitely no agenda here

those are the folks that spoke. That is an outstanding photo of the event and was likely taken from a building across the site, because there were no ground views this good..
Oh, so they spoke from that side of the crowd? The Capital Police told me they’d be speaking from the Bell Tower so I thought everyone would be looking in that direction. I never got over to the Bank St side so I couldn’t see any of that.

I am very happy about how the day went for all of those who went. I also believe this specific event was a good and positive day for the entire 2A and Constitutional Rights efforts nationwide. I am very proud of all who attended in body and spirit!

For those that couldn’t make it.

Alright, today started cold as a witches teet but as the day rolled on and the crowd rolled in it became a bluebird day. I met folks who came in from all over the country. Farthest one I met came from Montana. It seemed like there wasn’t a person there who you couldn’t just start having a conversation with. Most of the folks I spoke with agreed that inside the fence was for the Virginians and that we would stand in support “outside the wire”. I have NO idea why someone would feel threatened in this environment despite the armed militia and other gun wielding citizens. These folks were nicer and more polite than a Greatful Dead show.😜 I ate a sandwich on the way out at a local shop brave enough (?) to be open. Half of the seats inside had AR’s leaning on them. Nobody gave a shit. The streets just outside the perimeter where traffic could flow had road tractors and and other large trucks inching along blowing horns in some kind of a cadence with flags tied wherever they could fit them. I’m sure if you were on the road that traffic was a PITA.

The PA system was hard to here at times for those of us outside the perimeter, but it was obvious the crowd inside was engaged with the speakers. Folks on the outside had bullhorns and would hand them off to just about anyone who thought they had something to say. We chanted the Pledge of Allegence on several occasions.

I don’t know if this display will end up changing anyone’s mind, but I can only hope that with this turnout and the other measures that are in place that just maybe something historically good will come from it. One thing is for sure: I had a blast and it made me proud of our countrymen and women! I’ll see if I can attach some pics.

For those that think this rally didn't accomplish anything, I disagree. Consider what the message would have been if they proposed these things and nobody spoke out against it? Democrats around the country would be emboldened to try similar crap in their own states. So even if the moron governor in VA goes through with his plans, you can't tell me that those lawmakers voting for it aren't nervous about doing so. The next step is to punish them vigorously at the ballot box for not listening to the people.

Also, people who don't own guns, but maybe pay some attention to politics (maybe even swing voters) today saw gun owners who were respectful, polite, and peaceful. True patriots concerned about liberty. That plainly visible truth makes it much harder for dems and media to tell everyone we are a bunch of crazy racist lunatic nazis. Did it get the coverage it should have, no. But it got enough to make it a win.

Imagine if Obama would have announced the same exact stuff as this governor has......

Everyone that objected would have been labeled a racist.

Again.

I think it actually accomplishes several things.
It is good for government to understand that we will not give up.

Additionally, this rally happened when the NRA is somewhat weakened. That should scare dems shitless.

I 100% continue to support the NRA. The problems they've had are real, but certainly not worth throwing out all the good they've accomplished. We need everyone to win this battle. A little pressure for them to shape up is not a bad thing, but they are still worthy of support for sure.
