Has anyone got their hands on the trijicon credo 2-10x36 yet? Been looking at one lately and I need an optic for an SPR’ish build. Can’t find much on them yet.

I havent had the 2-10 but i got the 1-8 and i found the focus to be crappy. No edge clarity at all.

I'm kinda confused on the new lineup. Hearing that the 1-6 and 2-10 are new optics? But looks like the 1-4 and 1-8 are just accupowers?

But I'm curious about the 2-10 as well, I need a SPR optic too. Looking at the PA GLX 2.5-10, but wanting to see some reviews on the Credo 2-10 before I do anything.

Shit. I was hoping I was the only one. I sent mine in to trijicon because of this. You focus the reticle using the fast focus like normal but then as soon as you zoom to 8x the target focus goes to shit. You can then clear up the target by adjusting the eye piece focus but obviously that brings the reticle out of focus, not to mention you shouldn't need to focus anything on a 1-8! They better get this fixed.

It's a fixed parallax optic, I think what you are describing sounds like nothing out of the norm for one.

I was gonna agree with @jeffl838, it's a fixed parallax, theres gonna be some unusual adjustment if you don't realize that it's fixed!!

Guys it's a 1-8. The target shouldn't noticably blurr when zooming from 1-8. Doesn't happen with my PA 1-6 sfp, doesn't happen with my PA Platinum 1-8 ffp, shouldn't happen with any optic like this.

We understand that it’s a 1-8 but it’s just how optics work. Its only going to be focused at one distance. We can make the effect appear to be less extreme by severely restricting the pupil diameter (try taping over the objective and punching a small hole in the middle. Like an iota dry fire cap), but the parallax error will still exist.

Edit: The PA optic is probably just equally blurry at all distances, even the one the parallax is fixed at. I don’t say that in a way to talk shit. I had a mk6 I was trying to dial the parallax out of and it wasn’t happening. Took that rifle off the tripod and put on a rifle with a nightforce. I realized that the mk6 didn’t have a parallax issue but the glass was just less clear

Well, I'll say this for Trijicon: Their RMA process is pretty damn smooth. I emailed them about target focus issues throughout the zoom range, had an RMA number a day later, shipped it in, got confirmation email a few days later they received it, they emailed me a couple days later that they cannot fix it and are sending me a new one. We'll see how the new one is.

Jeff, sorry man but I have to disagree. If there were target focus issues with these types of optics the entire 3-gun world wouldn't be using them, or LEOs. The whole idea of this optics is to be able to rapidly transition from close to far targets at variable zoom without needing to adjust parallax, and certainly not have the target out of focus. To be clear, I was focusing on a berm at just 25 yards and it was focused at 1x and out of focus at 8x. This has nothing to do with parallax.

FFP 1-8's aren't super popular in the 3 gun community, and a lot of cops just don't know any better. Take the 2.5-10 mk4, a tactical staple, and set the parallax to 100, the power to 8x, and take a look at how your target at 25 looks. Dial it down to 2.5x. It'll look more clear at 2.5x because everything is smaller and you're physically incapable of resolving certain levels of detail - hence the whole point of wanting higher mag. It's why I personally am not super stoked for these new 1-10's to pop out. I think they'll suck.

My 1-8 Atacr is blurry at 25 and there's definitely nothing wrong with it *other than lacking a parallax adjustment.
