Ok mounted my Zeiss V6 5-30x50mm on my Winchester 1885 in 220 swift using Leupold bases and rings. High rings and the rifle shoots a foot high at 100 yds with the scope adjustment reticle bottomed out. The bell of the objective is about 5/16s above the barrel. So if I exchange the rings for some medium high will that fix the problem ?

No, it will not fix the problem by switching rings. The zero stop is probably set and you think you are bottoming out the internal travel adjustment but more than likely you are not.

OMG Zero stop ! This is my 2nd V6 and when mounting other rifle I didn't have this problem. So your saying dig into Top turret and adjust zero stop ?

Thanks for video link, but it doesn't deal with Zero stop. So I downloaded Zeiss V6 owners manual ( Why didn't one come with the scope ?) Ok I've removed the turret and have exposed the "Barrel Assembly " and see the "Cam" I don't feel like I need a "Zero stop" I wonder if I can just remove the Barrel assembly and then install the turret and be done with it ? I did that with my HD5 ,but it had a different design .
