A job came in that had what most would consider an ambitious timeline. Take a new-in-the-box M700 and build a tuned up barreled action from it in 2 days. Not impossible, but your going to be hustling. Due to be ready by CoB today. We open at 8am and close at 4pm. Mtn time.

Now, complicate it. Was out of receivers and they were a day late due to a winter storm. We started at 10:30am this morning. In addition to the blueprinted receiver/bolt, barrel installation, add the following electives:

  1. Time/Tig/solder
  2. 8-40 base holes
  3. Pinned lug
  4. Bolt fluting
  5. Tac knob
  6. M16xtr install
  7. dual ejectors
  8. Bush the firing pin and turn to 1/16"
  9. Thread the muzzle
  10. Fit a thread protector
  11. Engrave it
  12. Spin polish it, t
  13. Side Bolt Release installation
  14. Test fire
  15. Call client to tell him its done.

How long? Pick a number. Would the deadline get met? You decide.

We just did all of this. 3 hours, 37 minutes. Start to #14. I've not called the client yet.

So, here we go:

1. Intake/Log in.

2:09 PM. Client called and on his way.

Vetted processes, great staff, and quality machinery. We can't do this every day, but I think we've proven that LRI is the fast tract to getting quality results in a timely fashion. (edited so that my foot was only halfway down my throat) :)

Happy to help.

So now you'll be a victim of your own success. How many will show up at the shop at 8 am, action in hand, asking you to fit a barrel, blueprint, and true everything? And they'll want to pick it up at 4.
