    2.5-10 Scope Search, NF?

I agree on the XTR II. The 2-10 version is solid in this optic. Great features, very reliable.

    Burris XTR3!!!

Not that I've heard. And this is just my humble opinion. But I dont believe we will need it after the ESCR goes live. Obviously that's not my decision to make. I imagine it will still be available in the XTR II through 2019. But once you see the ESCR I think most folks will agree there is no...

    Burris XTR3!!!

I have suspected for a long time that the Burris business model was designed to coexist with Steiner without either brand infringing on the other. I would agree this scope competes with the T5Xi. So either they are ok with that, or Steiner has something up their sleeve.

    Burris XTR3!!!

Burris also has the First Responder program. It includes paramedics, EMTs, Firefighters, judges, and civil servant attorneys, in addition to military and law enforcement. So apples to apples, the XTR III is still at a different price point...

    Burris XTR3!!!

Ideally, I think the plan is that the scope is of sufficient quality and value that it competes well with other scopes in its price point. You'll have to go easy on them if they decide they aren't going to start slashing the price on it just yet ;)

    Burris XTR3!!!

It never occurred to me that using the word Asia instead of Japan would lead to the assumption that the glass is sourced somewhere other than Japan. It was already discussed on the first page that the glass is from Japan. Though I understand it's a long thread and reaching the point where...

Budget Scopes, How Good Are They?

Budget means a lot of different things to different people. My old $75 Bushnell Sportview survived 20 years of hard usage. I chased everything that runs, jumps, or swims throughout the northwest with that old 30-06 and that scope on top. I rolled my ATV on it. I rolled my horse on it (although...

    Burris XTR3!!!

Like Winny I don't want to derail the thread. But in a nutshell it appears that he had position and cheek weld on his rifle, was looking through his scope, and upon moving his rifle, bumped the barricade and accidentally discharged his weapon, missing the target by two feet. He discussed it...

    Burris XTR3!!!

It certainly appears that way. Based on his description of events it makes zero sense that he did that. But that's his choice. Nice to see the trophy(s) go to Dorgan.

    Burris XTR3!!!

Yes, that's exactly what they did Bill. These scopes have 7x erectors. The 30x scope they are releasing could have easily been run all the way to 35x. How many times have we heard that Brand X scope "looks pretty good, until you get over X magnification, then the glass quality/eyebox quality...

    Burris XTR3!!!

The official response is that the Enhanced SCR will make it's way into the XTR II. But it most likely will not be in 2019. The folks in Greeley have a pretty full plate already for 2019.

Looking forward to your thoughts! Congratulations on your win in the Tac division. You and the 3-oh-H8 kicked ass this year!

    Burris XTR3!!!

That's actually a very good question. I wish I had thought of it. I'm afraid I dont know the answer to that. But it would certainly make sense. I'm going to forward that up and see if I can get an answer for you.

    Burris XTR3!!!

This reticle is based off the SCR. An enhanced version. I've never had any trouble finding my crosshair on 4x from my 4-20's.

Glad to see so many of you like this reticle design..

    Burris XTR3!!!

If you like those reticles, you'll like the new ESCR. I'm trying to walk the line between giving you guys information and letting you know we have a great reticle coming, without saying too much and having Sky call me ;) I think we have a better reticle with better detail and usefulness than...

    Burris XTR3!!!

We're listening. A lot of attention was paid to what people were saying about the II. On this board and others. I strongly suspect Sky is watching this very thread. This scope is the culmination of 4 years of XTR II feedback. Burris hard tackled the shortcomings of that scope when they...

Why did it have to be Leupold...

Not gonna lie... I had to Google that. ;)

    Burris XTR3!!!

I agree with that. I dont think I've ever shot below 8x at a match. I do believe with this compact and lightweight package, FOV and magnification range, this is going to be an excellent crossover as a long range/short range hunting scope.
