    Tikka rebarrel question

It works great. I’ve done that exact thing for a handful of guys.

    Lilja versus bartlein barrels

I should also say Hawk Hill, Rock Creek, Brux, and a few others are excellent too.

    Lilja versus bartlein barrels

Speaking of Lilja...OD, ID relationship is often WAY off. Bores are not nearly as straight, often with two different curve directions rather than the usual single gentle curve. Contouring is inconsistent, often with a low spot ahead of the taper. Like Chad said, they can cause phone calls...

Very cool. Those are the jobs that make it worth it.

Bedding in front of the recoil lug?????

I was being serious, sometimes a call or email to the guy doing it will answer the “why”, for them.

Bedding in front of the recoil lug?????

GAP does it. TacOps does it. Might reach out to them for their reasons.

I can go as short as .125, but have been chambering them at .150 and guys are pretty happy with that.

    Which reamer to buy?

Saami throat is longer than needed, even with factory ammo. .297” neck and .150” throat is a good spot.

Why does my Rem 700 bolt handle jump during firing?

I know you guys are fighting and everything, but the sun dial comment had me rolling! I have an 03a3 I’m going to do some surgery on and build a sort of vintage sleeper. Carry on..

Why does my Rem 700 bolt handle jump during firing?

I want a heavy pin and heavy spring.

Why does my Rem 700 bolt handle jump during firing?

Cocking piece hitting bolt body in ramp. Also if it’s a sloppy action and the root of the handle is resting on its stop, when the sear falls and the rear of the bolt drops, it’ll flick the handle up .

    Glass Bedding

Dam that front edge, open the top a bit, more like a funnel, and cast a new pillar out of epoxy.
