    I try to minimize the offset by sitting directly behind the rifle and leaning forward at the bench with a bipod and bag.

      Very good article. I have noted similar reactions from prone versus bench top shooting... I haven't fire a shot from a bench in at least 6-plus years!

        Great article, I had no idea, thanks for the link......we have been practicing from a bench during the winter but compete from prone, will be checking....

          This was definitely an interesting read. I tried this out myself and only noticed a 3 fps difference in MV. I'm sure it varies a lot between different calibers and stocks/chassis. At least I don't have to worry about it.
