How about the thousands of misdemeanors that are prohibiting offenses?

The statist .gov worshipping idiots let the camels nose under the tent with the "we will only take guns from felons"

"We will only use these searches for drugs"
"We will only steal cash from drug dealers"
Etc
Etc
Etc

Idiots give .gov more power
Please specify. Show me a list "thousands of misdemeanor prohibiting offenses".

You know, I’ve tried to stay out of this one, but the very fact that we are all discussing people having rights taken away from bogus charges, criminals being released back out into society and so on is proof that the time to storm has long passed. The gov is a business. We have already lost. As pointed out earlier, even if you are squeaky clean people could make it so that you aren’t fairly easily, as it has already been pointed out. We don’t have a cop problem, we don’t have a gov problem, we don’t have a drug problem etc. what we have is a greed and morale problem. The very moral fabric of this country has been lost. Change society and many of these issues go away. I don’t exactly know how you do that but the corruption is real and only seems to be getting worse by the day. There are plenty of good people still in gov, plenty of good cops still out there and so on but they seem to be dwindling and that is an issue. If we don’t change course somehow soon, the US will be the next Venezuela x10000.

You go look up all the state misdemeanors that are punishable by 1 year or more in jail.

Look up assault and domestic violence definitions while you are in the mood.

"You are prohibited under federal law from possessing a gun if: you are under indictment for, or have been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year; you are a fugitive from justice; ... you have been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence"

Apparently not only is the government refusing to defend the country, they want to also send a firm message that nobody else is allowed to defend it either.

That being said, if you want to skyline yourself, you best make sure you are squeaky clean because the Deep State and the Communists are going to come after you hard and if they can find anything, all your "friends" among the "patriots" are going to sit on their hands and say something like "well they say he was a felon so I guess whatever" as you get shown the full treatment of what happens to "subjects" that think they have "rights".
As pointed out already, don’t think you are safe from the system just because you are clean right now. And again, the fact we are even discussing this means the trust in the government is long gone.

The government is 100% efficient when doing something benefits their interests. Many gangbangers, drug dealers, street trash , and even sex offenders "escapes" the attention of the law because spending the resources to catch them does not generate enough rewards to be worth it.

If you present a big enough irritation and disruption to the powers that be, they will be able to get you no matter how clean of a slate you may think you possess. Even if you are 100% goody-two shoes, they will manage to "find" something highly sensitive on your premises.
Ding ding ding.

Felons do not have the right to own a gun. If they wish to they should seek a pardon. While some felons may have been wrongly convicted and other truly reformed far to many remain a danger to society. They should never be allowed to vote or own a gun.
What about a guy wrongly convicted?

Banning firearms from released felons from jail is unconstitutional.
Releasing dangerous people from jail is wrong and stupid.
If they’re too dangerous to own a gun then they should remain in jail.
Agreed. But the government likes the biz.

You go look up all the state misdemeanors that are punishable by 1 year or more in jail.

Again, it’s all part of the biz scheme.

YOU are the one stating "thousands", not me.
YOU provide the proof.
While I don't agree with the misdemeanor domestic violence prohibition, in MOST states, the most serious misdemeanor (class A in Texas or Class 1 in some other states) are a MAXIMUM of 1 year, many states the max is 6 months.

So, here is the verbiage directly from the ATF website.
Since you seem to have both a reading and comprehension problem, I'll highlight the specific verbiage for you:
The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition, to include any person:

  • convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;
  • who is a fugitive from justice;
  • who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act, codified at 21 U.S.C. § 802);
  • who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution;
  • who is an illegal alien;
  • who has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;
  • who has renounced his or her United States citizenship;
  • who is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner; or
  • who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
The GCA at 18 U.S.C. § 992(n) also makes it unlawful for any person under indictment for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year to ship, transport, or receive firearms or ammunition.

Further, the GCA at 18 U.S.C. § 922(d) makes it unlawful to sell or otherwise dispose of firearms or ammunition to any person who is prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing firearms or ammunition.

Since it specifically states "exceeding one year" that means felony, not misdemeanor.
There is a reason it is called FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, because, you know, felony.

It is not.

Once again you reveal the true depth of your intellect.

The Constitution does not say what you want it to say. It says what it says.

Criminals were not considered by the founding fathers to be part of the Militia. The Militia was those citizens who could be depended on, any who were responsible.

I am truly amazed at the depth of ignorance some members have shown on this thread. To believe that criminal felons upon release from prison should have their Second Amendment rights restored is dumb. Why not let them have guns while they are in prison? Once you add that they should have their voting rights restored then you will have become Democrats.
Really? Trotting out the militia argument. You would definitely fit right in with the gun banners. Elitist gun owners. Worse than gun banters.

Can you show me where he says anything about crime or militias in this quote?

You don't think the oligharchy is raising the max penalties on crimes to make more people prohibited. Especially outspoken people with some fire in their belly?

You are apparently going by Maryland statutes, perhaps it is YOU that needs to get out more.
I can't help if you decide to live in a fucked up state.
That being said, by reviewing your attachment, those offenses with penalties exceeding 1 year are considered felonies in MOST other states. Maryland's felony statute list is very short.
Again, your lack of reading comprehension has failed you, as I stated in my previous post "MOST" states, not "ALL".

Felon in Possession of a firearm is nothing more than plea fodder. That is why there is a low conviction rate. Ask any prosecutor.

Felons are not free men. They are incumbered by law from past convictions. They can’t serve in the military. Some states you can have your record expunged. Then you get your rights back.

However, If I am legislated a felon. It really won’t matter. I mean already a felon? Might as well go for the gusto and show them what I can really do.

That is correct in the way things currently are in this corrupt and crumbling world.
Currently criminals don't care (as they never had & never will)
What the government is truly scared of is when the good folks stop caring as well.

The just "It's the law we must obey" IS why we are being disarmed piece by piece
Think about this... if you live in a non-free state and decide not to surrender your collection of standard capacity magazines when ordered to do so, and one day the police get a 'tip' from your bitter ex.... well now you are a felon and of course you should never have rights to defend yourself again... (according to you)... Or perhaps you bought a fully legal "bump stock" toy thing and don't like the idea of the government just saying, well yes we said it was legal and you bought it but now hand it over or destroy it and no compensation for you..... Well get caught... (no freedom to defend yourself again.... according to you).

Then next it's sorry all your AR15s.... well best turn them in citizen because otherwise you are an evil criminal and can't have guns...
Next it's all your Semi Autos... then eventually all your guns....

You'll soon see that there is a reason the communists push to have every new gun restriction have either a felony or similar charges attached to violations of it. Turning "good" people against other "good" people because of a label.

People that would be free, should however think long and hard about the laws they are enslaved by themselves when forging chains for others and resist the chains that others forge for them, while taking back control of their government for good. I don't think however that is possible until the next reset of civilization.

You're right, I'm sorry, the heroin junkie, burglar SHOULD be allowed to carry a firearm when he's stealing your shit.
National Statistics on Recidivism
Bureau of Justice Statistics studies have found high rates of recidivism among released prisoners. Examines the recidivism patterns of former prisoners during a 9-year follow-up period.[3] The researchers found that:

  • The 401,288 state prisoners released in 2005 had 1,994,000 arrests during the 9-year period, an average of 5 arrests per released prisoner. Sixty percent of these arrests occurred during years 4 through 9.
  • An estimated 68% of released prisoners were arrested within 3 years, 79% within 6 years, and 83% within 9 years.
  • Eighty-two percent of prisoners arrested during the 9-year period were arrested within the first 3 years.
  • Almost half (47%) of prisoners who did not have an arrest within 3 years of release were arrested during years 4 through 9.
  • Forty-four percent of released prisoners were arrested during the first year following release, while 24% were arrested during year-9.

Do the criminals go unarmed while breaking into people's houses in your neck of the woods?
I mean if criminals obey the laws and don't carry guns because they are "not allowed to"... then that would be excellent!

At least around these parts, "Criminals" usually don't care about the law and what they are allowed or not allowed to do, so not being "allowed" to get a gun just means they get a cheaper stolen one from the local drug dealer along with their next drug buy..
Or go to the correct motel room where a group of some guys are moving their share of a bigger robbery of guns and you can look them over under the watchful eye of several guys with loaded crossbows pointed at you....

The self defense laws around here generally are written to assume that any bad guy is armed when breaking into your stuff, and it sure makes it a lot more airtight if there was a gun on the body of the dead criminal....

Typically, yes, they tend to be unarmed, however, an additional felony MIGHT keep them off the streets longer.
A good portion of felons actually avoid being around weapons, as they don't want to get revoked or they don't want fresh charges.

Shall not be infringed.

Unless we arbitrarily label you as a felon for any one of forty million offenses that have nothing to do with you being a risk of shooting anybody anyway.

Total clown world. It’s really nice to think we can keep only good guys with guns and bad guys without them. You can’t. You know what’s going to happen, though? NICS is going to go down due to some reason or another and a good guy isn’t going to be allowed to secure a firearm to protect himself.

I don’t care if bangers arm up and kill each other. Let them have them.

Nics isnt down but getting a form 4 class 3 item now, out of jail, is a year...

That would be a .gov stepping stone on firearm sales, already in place and ungratefully and ungraciously accepted, on class 3...

Just another way to deny.

You also have the right to liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So prison is unconstitutional? No Prison for criminals is not unconstitutional, because by committing crimes and being convicted they loose their rights. Next you guys will want to join NY's Gov Cumo in thinking they should be able to vote. He is wrong, as are you guys on this.

I know a felon that served 5 years in Leavenworth,he was a devout Christian till the day he died.
His crime- he volunteered for service during WWII and refused to take up arms to kill a man but asked if he could serve in another capacity.
Times have changed, today they would have given him an award.
I knew him 50+ years and he lived by the bible.

If you ended up in prison during WWII is was because you chose prison over serving as a medic or in another non-combat role or serving in the "Civilian Public Service". Anyone in prison was a true dirtbag who declined every accommodation made for them by the nation they pretended to love.

So obviously you DON'T actually believe in individual liberty, individual religious liberty and individual self determination.

So when a bunch of Global Elite decide to get your country into a war for their own ends, you apparently think it's all good if the government can enslave people at gunpoint to do what they say as they say or else.

One day you should actually look at the real history of the start of WWI and WWII
Both wars were pushed on unsuspecting Americans by the Elites with the help of our oldest enemy the British.

You also apparently have no clue how enslavement (draft) was used to silence all criticism of the government or anybody talking about constitutional rights & oppress the lower classes of the country pretty much every time the politicians got away with it.

Since when is it illegal to protect your Nation.... I guess since the liberals took over.
Who told you it was "your nation"? Because that's not what I hear. Sure, it's written on some 200yo paper but in practice?

In practice we are slaves to an economic oligarchy and nothing more. If you wanna change that it'll likely have to come at the end of a barrel like every other governmental change in history, but they're digging in against that too. They're here, and they sure as fuck intend on staying and preying on you, your children and plans for their children's children to feed on yours.

We can do something about it...

OR keep going to work and paying taxes in order to keep 'em flush with resources to weaponize against us.

I think I just met the worlds biggest asshole of the internet.
Little FYI, the man offered himself selflessly and the big green machine chewed him up and spit him out.
Till the day he died he never said a vile word towards his country.

The Medal of Honor winner from Hacksaw Ridge, Desmond Doss, was enroute to prison, because of his conscientious objector status, begging for the medic position, and was refused, prison it was, until his father intervened with his WW1 Commander on his behalf.

The allegation that uncle offered "other options besides prison" freely to CO's is not correct.
Ravenworks FIL is not the only person to go to prison for CO. At the time .Gov felt they had to make examples of CO's, hard line, and they did.

Same .Gov that executed mentally deficient Eddie Slovak. An example made of "white trash" to keep the other poor white trash in line.

Interestingly, only some 6000 of approximately 50k did prison versus 25k who served as medics, and 20k who served in public service. A number worked in mental hospitals, while some were part of extreme medical experiments. Such is recorded history.
Allegedly the majority of those imprisoned refused to register for the draft.

Perhaps others besides me and Ravenworks who have knowledge can speak up, and educate those less fortunate to have exposure to past events.

In what twisted world did "global elites" steal your manly essence in WWII? o_O When are you going to lay that stupid "Jewish Conspiracy" crap on us? Oh wait, now they tell you 88er's to use "global elite". Are you posting here because your internet provider won't let you access Stormfront anymore?

Maybe you should get an MRI and find out what exactly is under your tinfoil hat. I'm betting we could squeeze more good ideas out of a tube of toothpaste than have ever dribbled out of your mouth. If the "lower classes" are being oppressed,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,how did you get here?

762, before WW2 we were pretty isolationist and a creditor nation, after WW2 we were a global Army and now 220 Trillion in debt. That is only a few of the many obvious ways the Globalists (Ivy Leaguers really, not a jew amongst them) have impacted our great country, not to mention the millions of ways they are undermining the destroying the rule of law under the US Constitution .

So tell us about the magical place you want to live? Where food magically appears on your table when you rub an oil lamp, the house just builds itself and the medical issues you have are cured by a few licks of a candy cane in the priests pocket.

There once was a world with no "economic oligarchy" to rule over you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if you lived there today you would be chipping a spear point out of a hunk of chert and gathering up your cousins hoping to stab a giant sloth to death for dinner. You would die of old age at 35 or so. Oh wait, you bought a computer from those oligarchs and now you use their internet to tell yourself how foolish you are for living in their world instead of going to New Guinea or into the woods to seek your fortune without their help.

Damn them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and their modern world of comfort and convenience.

I won't bother quoting the rest of your post as it seems you have decided to go on some personal attack rather than looking up the history.

If you however ever want to put down the propaganda, do some in depth studies of the times proceeding WWI and WWII, the stuff they don't teach you in Communist indoctrination centers.

Our oldest enemies the British were very busy during the lead up to America getting into WWI and WWII running all kinds of propaganda scams to try to influence the American public. Some other fun things like smuggling war weapons on civilian ships leading to American civilian casualties.

There is also a fair bit of evidence that the British may have understood the Japanese codes enough to know an attack on America was going to happen.

You may also want to look into the Churchill family holdings in the east.

Would you like some nice crusty bread? A ball game perhaps? No? Hockey? Olympics? Some cheap beer?
A ride on the tiltawhirl perhaps?.........

Well here, what is really going on is a strange combination of leftists posing as gun owners, a stunning number of people who probably have never fired most of the guns they own and their only "sniper rifle" is stored in their Xbox and a some other people posting on a website or looking for actual firearms information.

Of course, when the tinfoil hat crowd insults people who serve by insisting no one "fights for their freedom" or some such garbage we should just try and ignore them. Why? Because the military is easily tricked by the British into fighting their wars, yeah that must be it, especially for those who are still mad Hitler lost. Or by claiming the military is actually a tool of a cabal of industrialists who secretly control everything by selling them everything they need to enjoy life, giving them jobs or welfare and creating the internet so they can endlessly complain about their lives to strangers.

Oh yeah and money is not good , it's all going to collapse and we are going to need stuff to barter with, gold, silver, lug nuts , maybe buckets of grain and dried sardines or magical militia dollars. We have to hide these from the Antifa guys who are going to don their masks and man buns and come try and take it away.

Did I cover it for you?

Enjoy believing the propaganda you are fed.
Willful ignorant blindness to the darkness and evil that is in the world works well for a lot of humans these days.

Just about all the stuff you derisively mention is real history or real current events, in our country, or around the world or sometimes both.

Sounds kind of like you are projecting yourself onto others.

Somehow I don't think you'll find anyone that would agree with you that I'm a "lefty"... unless of course you change the meanings which may be the case. Now there are other countries where I might be considered a "Liberal party supporter"... but that's only because the words mean very different things.

Damn. And, I thought we were going to have some real discourse here. Oh well. At least he didn’t come back and claim he knew what was really going on but couldn’t say because of the top secret clearance he holds. Or that by letting out specific info he might jeopardize an ongoing investigation or something and therefore can’t tell us what is really happening.
