Hi,

Well, lets see....the entity/person you referring to have anything to do with gravel equipment?

IF so then statistically we raise the probability up by 34% of it being person you referring to from the 60% it stands right now....

Sincerely,
Theis
I don’t know about gravel, but did he inspect poultry farms?

Now that I realize OP is talking about magazine ads I kind of get where they are coming from. For people that don’t use the internet it’s likely quite difficult to get a reticle image without going to a store and looking through every scope.

though I feel like my last Natchez book had some,

when you surround yourself with others that are technologically adept it’s easy to forget that there are still people who use flip phones

hell, I’m jealous of them to be honest. Then again I know what reticles are available so at least I’ve got that.

Anyone who chooses not to use basic internet in this day and age should not expect to have convenience when trying to find information.

You’ll also find you have a heck of a time getting them to accept the mailed in check and handwritten letter you sent explaining what scope you want to buy too. lol.

Well, Tommy just got a subscription to some outrageous gay porn, but it's getting sent to his neighbor across the street at 50037 ...Oops, that might get a little awkward.

Why on earth dont scope manufacturers put a life size picture of the reticle beside the scope? Its almost like they are trying to keep it a secret !
The real "hidden" spec which is very important to rimfire guys... is the parallax range. Lots of manufacturers never list the parallax min/max in the spec list. Remember that bushnell scope that only parallax down to 75yds? Boy some rimfire people were upset about that when it arrived. ;)

Yeah, it's a Bass Pro catalogue. Which, as you say, doesn't typically include pics of reticles. Sometimes, maybe, but on the back page of the catalogue, nah. Of course it's been a long while since I've gotten one of them so I could be wrong.

@Cuzz Best advice, look at websites instead of catalogue listings for your info; those are the ones that will almost always have a picture of the reticle plus you can contact the manufacturer for help figuring out which of their reticles is your best fit (if they don't have a FAQ section or some such on their site already).
Yeah, Bass Pro has fucked up ads.
They should have kept the Cabelas ad people to work them.

Cabelas always listed prices in small boxes next to the item for different models/sizes.
BPS just list something like: starting at $27.99, or they'll do $27.99-$642.50.
That's helpful.

Anyway, they can be looked at on line.

You do have access, right?

Do you know Britney Spears?

They do, but it's never the reticle you're interested in.

Nothing about my local BPS was helpful the last half dozen times I've been there. I've given up on it unless I want to look at any Uberti guns I know they have on display. And then I'll go buy one from DGW.

What they really try to keep secret is Parallax range. You cant hardly ever find that specification with Leupold and a number of other scope manufacturers. Every 22 or airgun scope out there with an adjustable objective, should parallax correct from at least 25 yards on the short side, out to infinity. But they don't. They're afraid they might lose something at 1000 yards which every scope is going to do anyway.

Well im a slow learner, I i just went to op vortex scopes . I looked at a $500 and a $2000 scope, both showed excellent pictures of the scope and all the specs including paralax distance and 3 or 4 letters that were the name of the reticle but no picture of the reticle.

It never ceases to amaze me how people evidently have nearly zero reading comprehension skills nor are they able to use their Interwebbernet devices and read the web page they are looking at. I'm sorry, I just have to say it like it is. This is Life Skill 101, and some people really, really suck at it.

Click on a scope. Scroll down on the page. Click on the big link that says reticle subtensions. You get this...

View attachment 7168298

You can also see the other reticles they offer in the same way.

Interwebs for the win....
Thanks, is this at the Vortex site,? I just looked at op website there was no reticle subtensions there.

Good-God...what is wrong with you, bro? You apparently can manage to get on the Internet and read a gun forum but can't figure out how to look up reticles?

Have you ever heard of this?

Thanks Lefty, on my original post i said manufacturers but i was thinking retailers or dealers. Im an old man and confuse myself often. I have learned to look at the manf to see what i want and then look for prices.
Thanks again
