Just order mine even though I don't need it. But for that price and set up. Send it to me ASAP for deer season

Mine shipped out today. Looking forward to laying hands on it when it gets here.

Now I need to decide what scope to put on it. I could take off a Vortex SE 1-6 from an AR... or go buy an Athlon 1-4 or 1-6. Decisions...

I want one :)
However, the buzz kill is, that I can hardly find any reloading data for them, more specifically finding some good accuracy driven reloading advice. The can limits the use of sabots etc, no surprise, however if I can find some accuracy/load advice I'm in.

Just have to think of it as a deer gun not a tack driver rifle. Look on youtube their are several review with some load data. if your holding a 2in group at 100 yds will equal dead deer and extra hunting time for you.

Mine is supposed to arrive today. My shipment from FX said indirect signature required. I printed and signed their release form and left it. Hope that’s good enough.

I only had a few minutes to open it up and inspect before heading back to work, but a few observations...

1) It’s pretty front end heavy (duh). But I think a mounted optic will help to balance it out. Mine is getting an EGW scope base, and an Athlon Talos BTR 1-4 in Warne rings.

2) the recoil pad is quick removeable by depressing buttons on either side of it, opening up a cavernous storage area inside the buttstock.

3) on mine, the striker would cock with the breech opened, but would not cock with the breech closed. After a quick flash of frustration, an internet search yielded me to Traditions FAQ where they describe this exact issue, and the answer is to disassemble and clean out any grease/funk that’s built up. Easy solution. I will try it tonight.

4) the custom hard case is pretty cool, and an unexpected treat. Seems well made and comes with all the accessories and fixings in the pockets.

Should have mine tomorrow (via indirect signature). Looking forward to see if SiCo is still giving out the limited edition hard cases (limited to first 3000 units). Will be mounting a Vortex Crossfire 1x24 on it since we're not allowed to have magnification and/or electronic sights for muzzle loader season.

Was looking at the Remington 700 Ultimate Muzzle Loader but the Maxim 50 for $450 was too good to pass up.

I have mine since over a year and still love it!

I have been playing a lot with different loads, here is a video I made a while ago

I have now a new load, 30 grain of blackhorn with a 400 grain lead bullet, I'm planning to take my first deer this year with it subsonic.

I cleaned the rifle up tonight, screwed in the breech plug all the way right, and shut it firmly and the striker cocking works perfect.

I found some of your videos in my research, I can’t wait to experiment with some different bullets/charges and get hopefully a couple of favorites dialed in - one heavy high velocity load for deer hunting, and one maybe close to subsonic for shorter distance work, plinking around.

I haven't even played with accuracy, I figured if I'm hitting my steel plates I'm good, if I have more time I'll develop a accurate load using solid copper rounds

Anybody else get theirs? I learned that I need high rings to get the scope view to clear the suppressor, and with that a cheek riser.

Cheek riser is en route to me from Beartooth.

I’m all stocked up on powders and projectiles now, just need time to get out and shoot it.
