Hey,

Has anyone used rechargeable CR123 batteries in their Reap IR version 2? I know the new version has the vertical battery compartment so the current battery extender for the original Reap will not work. Only issue I see is rechargeable 123's are 3.7v vs 3.0v for standard lithium. Would not want to cause a problem, but rechargables seem like a good option if they work properly in the Trijicon.

trijicon says they will not warranty the scope from a over voltage caused by rechargeables. How they can tell that came from a rechargeable or a cheaply made standard battery I'm not sure. I have a original style reap with the IRX rechargeable system and love it. But after seeing friends just run cheap battery packs and cord that seems like how i should have went

Thanks - Think when I get the Reap I'll just stick to regular batteries. Don't want a issue with a 7K scope.
And guessing they will come up with the extended battery solution for the Gen 2 at some point.
