Remington 700 Varmint in 308 Winchester, cut down to 20" and threaded, installed in XLR Element chassis, running a Viper 6.5-20x50 in Warne QD rings on a Nightforce 20MOA rail. It's a deer and hog killing machine.



Sadly, the best pic I have of this one:

Winchester m70 chambered in 6.5WSM, she runs 3230fps with a 140gr Berger pushed by 65.5gr of Retumbo.
Kreiger 1-8 twist 6.5mm barrel at 24"
HS stock, bedded by me
Burris XTR 2 5-25X50 FFP riding TPS rings and Nightforce base.

Haven't gotten to use it too extensively yet but so far I love it. I really like the g2 reticle, but the zero stop can be a little tricky to reset if you haven't watched the videos how to do it. Hard to beat for 11-1200, that's for sure.

I know these have been done before; however, I just built this one up today for our PRS style comps we are starting to have here Down Under.
It is a Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD 20in 1:10 .308 Win in a KRG X-Ray chassis with a Nightforce NXS 5-25x56 Mil-dot (it is the same scope and rings from my post above on my 300) with a LaRue 20 MOA rail and a Harris bipod (Swivel and notched legs). I still want a couple of other parts for it, but for now this is how it stands.

Here's one of my old 7mm Rem Mag rifles from 406 Precision/Snowy Mtn Rifles... SMR blended brake, 26" long Benchmark 5R barrel with 1-9" twist, Defiance Rebel action with spiral fluted bolt and M16 style extractor, B&C textured stock, sniper grey cerakote on barreled action, Jewell trigger, SMR bottom metal, Harris BRMS bipod, Vortex PST 6-24 FFP EBR2 reticle, Seekins rings, custom cut Pelican case, etc...

Posted in the Tikka thread too, but what the hell. Tikka T3X barreled action (308) in XLR Evolution Chassis, YoDave trigger upgrade, Mtn Tactical bolt and bolt shroud, Harris/HHC bipod, ARC M10 rings/mount, had a T5XI 5-25, now it's wearing a IOR 3.5-18x50. Soon as barrel is shot out, it's getting a Hardy CF barrel and some cosmetic love from LRI...

The factory recoil lug was all sorts of jacked up (canted). I had to relief cut the lug area to get the action to center up in the stock, well see how it shoots Monday...

Started out as a Remington 700 VSF in .308.

26" Kreiger 6.5mm 1 in 8 stainless
Chambered in 6.5x47L
Action trued, barrel install by AJ Brown
HS Precision M-24 stock
Larue 20 MOA mount
Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5x27 EBR-2C MRAD
Huber Concepts 2 stage 1.5 pound trigger
Next up is a can......

target was shot after 10 rounds to get on paper and a feel for it, using factory 123 gn bullets. This is the next 10 rounds, gusting winds to 20, between 10 and 1 o'clock, 100 yards. A good start, need to tweak loads and stretch her legs
