Minox ZE5i -- any experience with this scope?

I have been considering a Minox scope and am looking at the MINOX ZE 5i 5-25x56

This will be more of a hunting scope, so I am OK with having SFP.

It looks like they have good glass, which is probably the most important thing for me in this purchase.

However, I have been unable to find any info on the elevation and windage adjustment range on them.

Does anyone have any experience with these scopes?

Thanks

Did you end up with one? I just purchased one for sale on EuroOptics for $800. I’d be interested to hear some firsthand feedback.

on another site (optics planet) it notes both windage and elevation afforded a range of 14MOA...the price there is much higher than you found

How did I miss the elevation adjustment. Wow! This isn’t going to work! I’m not even sure who would need a scope with 25x and only 14MOA of adjustment. I could drop it on my muzzleloader but I don’t need more that like 9x for it. So disappointed!

Honestly I bought it on a whim. I found for 799 and saw it was 1600-1700 everywhere else. I need to quit being so impulsive. Lol

Still a very nice optic....maybe it will prove to be the perfect excuse to purchase yet another shorter range platform. The holiday sales are coming up.

Suggestions what it would be perfect for? I’m just getting into rifles. In Iowa I’ve always hunted with muzzleloader and shotgun. My only long guns so far are a 7mm mag which is what I was hoping to upgrade this optic to and a 6.5 CM target gun.

I think if it was 12 usable MOA I’d be ok with the idea. But 12 total, that’s 6 usable MOA. That would be good for maybe 400yds. Is there a 5 MOA set of rings or base that would make all 12 MOA usable? If so, that would get me to about 600yds. Which might be ok because it would limit my hunting uses to no farther than that.

i don't have a lot of extra money so i tend to gravitate to quick release format mounts so that i can share a rifle scope on several different rifles.

There are many such brands, this is the one i've used and am pleased with. https://www.americandefensemanufacturing.com/view/product/641/

It affords 30 MOA, they also have 20 MOA variants...i use a 20 MOA on my .308.

They're often on sale for less that the stated msrp.

Burris makes a pretty nice option, they're scope rings with inserts that allow you to tailor MOA....

Cool I’ll look at Burris. A 20 or 30 MoA Mount wouldn’t work. 20 MOA Mount would make it to where I’d have to 0 at like 650 yds and only be able to dial down to like 300. Or am I missing something?

If i'm understanding correctly, your intent is for hunting. I don't hunt but i would imagine one would probably limit themselves to shooting up to 400 yards away (to ensure a good sight picture, an ethical shot and not having to carry the game for too long a distance.....

If you have a 4 mils range on the scope, let's allow for a usable 2 mils up and 2 mils down without a shim. Granted we'd only use the latter range.

Look at this representative graph for the 6.5cr, if i understand correctly that should allow you to get to 400 yards
I believe this is correct. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable with respect to hunting and ballistics might expound or correct.

I do take it to my local range as well (300yds-800yds). Its a 7mm mag so ballistics are similar to what you posted really. I guess I’m the only one that can decide if this is right for me. Maybe I’ll buy one of the M18 rifles to throw it on for a lightweight hunting rig and to get the %50 off cert for a zp5. My 7mm is about 9.5lbs without scope.
