Let's ask the Cherokee Nation what they think

So did anyone read that Native Americans have universally rejected DNA testing. That there is actually NO KNOWN native north American DNA markers. Central and South American indian DNA is used with the assumption that all the natives in the western hemisphere crossed the land/ice bridge about the same time and are hence related. It was in the report she released.
Lets forget the fact that Polynesians had found and populated many islands (remote as fuck) in the Pacific. Would it not be possible for some of their ships to land in South America, either by accident (got lost missed intended island) or on purpose (exploring the world).

Actually, as I understand it, North American Indians evolved from two distinct genomes. One genome originating from across the Siberian land bridge, and the other from the northern Europeans (though no one really knows how, they suspect they arrived via Geenland/Iceland). Hence the distinctly different physical appearances of eastern Indian tribes from those out west (tall, lanky with distinct facial features aka high cheekbones and short, round body with more asiatic features like pug noses and darker skin). These differences have been confirmed via DNA mapping of bone remains from ancient burial sites.

I was surprised to learn, in a book written by a Sioux, that the Sioux were originally a coastal Carolina tribe that moved to the plains, conquering other tribes on their way west as a means to avoid European settlers.

Thats pretty impressive that they were able to become adapted from the Carolinas subtropical zone to the extremes of the plains climate in such a relatively short period of time.

Thats the thing about Nomads they move around.

I guess they no longer teach about early migration. I learned this somewhere around age 10 - 12.

I suggest comparing it to Russian and/or Mongolian.

Yeah, it is interesting when you think about it. It also explains the tribal warfare that occurred, as they moved west, being physically different than the existing western tribes. I was watching a documentary on this awhile back, and found it quite interesting; the cultural anthropology that is, and the basic human nature to destroy or attack what isn't considered similar.

There is a great book called "Cod".

Its about the impact a fish has had on human history.

If they could speak Im thinking there is more than a few Portuguese fishermen that would say "Hey Caraio!" to the idea C. Columbus "discovered" the western hemisphere.

Seems to be they were on Georges Bank making their country rich with bacalau while Chris was wandering around looking for a sponsor.

I wouldnt doubt some of those Portuguese were in New Bedford before it was the Cape Verdean whaling capital of the world Ponkapogging Ponkapoags creating some hybrid Portuguese.

Libs eat this part Indian shit up, especially the women. I guess it makes them feel closer to that magical time before white men fucked everything up and everyone was living in peace, harmony, and joy. I know a univ professor that annually attends Osage gatherings in OK and she's probably got about as much Osage in her as Warren does Cherokee. I've often wondered how she and others like her are received when they show up on the Res.

The spanish were in the plains, mining, enslaving, and killing, for almost 400 years before the Louisiana purchase. When the spanish overthrew the Mayans they burned all the books, except for two that are in Spain today. Can you imagine all the history they destroyed as they scoured the landscapes for gold, and miners. I would be much more impressed by people walking across sea ice to this continent, but I think its more likely they came here on boats, or they were already here. There is some pretty interesting stuff on all the copper that was prehistorically mined out of the Great Lakes region. They also find more clovis sights in the north east, than in the north west.

but dont make the mistake of going all nostalgic for pre European western hemisphere culture.

The Mayan and Aztec program of ripping beating hearts out of innocent chests and an insatiable thirst for human sacrifice made it an abominable culture worthy of its eradication.

Proabably Spains only lasting contribution to the world.

The cartels represent the remnants of the death cult line.

I agree with you here MarinePMI, in the past there was evidence of this which has disappeared over time.

For example, here where I live in WV the Native Americans were what are called "Mound Builders". They built these large earthen mounds where they buried their chiefs and highly honored people. There's a mound right smack in the middle of Charleston, WV still intact. Its referred to as "The Mound" by locals.

Years ago when archaeologists decided to excavate this mound they found many of the remains commonly found in these Indian burial mounds. But along with their most esteemed chiefs and priests remains were 3 sets of remains that didn't belong. These remains were of Eurooean decent, white, very tall with long red hair intact. Why would the mound builders bury these 3 people so vastly different than themselves among their most honored chiefs? They obviously didn't belong and the only explanation is that they traveled there most likely via Greenland/Iceland as these 3 sets of remains were definitely from that region of the planet.

Even funnier still, they carefully unearthed the remains and shipped them directly to the Smithsonian. They never made it. Not only did they never make it but now there is no record that they were even there. But they were. Hard to say where they went but they were pulled from South Charleston Mound.

Orin Hatch may be a dinosaur but definitely not mathematician.

“These DNA tests are quite something,” Hatch tweeted, including a photo of himself appearing to look at his results on a phone. Hatch's “results" were, “1/1032 T-Rex. The rest: other dinosaurs.”

Why would you want to be counted among the defeated if you aren't one?
Funny you bring that up, because I just watched a fascinating show on BBC4 (the history channel of BBC) and they did a program on historiography, which is the study of the study of history. So the program traced how the BBC has covered the Roman influence on Briton for the past 50 year... since the BBC started to do their Timeline (or timewatch?) series. Over the years, they did a lot of programs on Roman Briton.

And one of the conclusions was that in the past two decades, there has been a 'romantacizing' of the 'heathen' Britons as the underdogs. And that the Roman 'oppressor' culture has been attacked. Where in the early years of the coverage, the British were romanticizing all the things that Rome brought to Briton and how the culture was quite revered in a 'neo-classical' appreciation of the fact that they brought language, civilization, organization, communications, etc. etc. etc. to the Island.

The analysis was that in today's 'victim culture' everyone wants to be part of some oppressed victim group. And this has spilled, bigtime, into academic study of history where it is popular and trendy to cover victims, minorities, the oppressed... and somehow elevate their 'losing' into some kind of nobility among losers and savages under the 'bullying' of more-powerful (and often white/western) culture.

So there you go. These moonbats are so pathetic in their inability to accomplish anything other than keeping their parents sofa anchored to the allergy-free Berber rug... that they have nothing they can point to and be proud of. No hobbies. They never worked with their hands. They don't hunt or fish. Never fixed a car. Or a bike. Never threw a touchdown pass or hit a good bunt. Never hiked to the top of a mountain. All they did was slather on Purel and maybe play video games involving Teletubbies. The answer? Put themselves inside a victims group... real or imagined. And now they are somebody. They are a victim. They have an identity associated with some great culture that would still be great... except for those evil Western people... like their parents.

In fact, the same analysis has been put with the environmental movement... and the feminist movement. You are such a loser that you can't claim the slightest individual accomplishment? And you're the last kid picked for every team because, well, you are a loser? He, become a noble eco-warrior, out to save the Rhinos and the Polar Bears... saving an ignorant mankind (more ignorant than you, anyway)... from destruction. And your live has purpose. Stand for 'women's health...' and you are saving womanhood from oppression... your live is now important. Everything you do is saving women from oppression.

Yet you don't have to 'do' anything. All you have to do is care. Be part of the team. Be a sheep. Be a useful idiot. And your team will make sure you have that fulfillment that you could not get due to your own choices, lack of motivation or sloth.

This is the root of identity politics. And Balkanization. Instead of looking forward and being productive, they look inward and backwards and now have an excuse for why they are losers. And we seem to have bred a lot of them in the last 30 years.

Hard men make soft times. Soft times make soft men. Soft men make hard times. Hard times make hard men. (I edited the previous sentence because I wrote it with no coffee in me and screwed it up royally.... sorry.... Anyhoo....) It's a cycle. We're coming through the greatest period of 'soft times' probably since Rome. And our times are much softer. When a society gets rich and soft enough to support a leisure class... an academic class... a 'philosopher class' it sows some of the seeds of its own decline. At least historically.

Remember that when WW1 started in Europe... it was during the pinnacle of the Edwardian boom... that in Europe had gone on for close to 100 years since the beginning of the industrial revolution, through the pinnacle of empire and Queen Victoria... and into Edward's reign. Major wars were behind them. Standard of living was at its historical high. Trade was booming. It was, literally, the best of times. It took less than 3 months to turn it all into an apocalypse and ashes from which the continent has never recovered.

Pardon my rambling...

Cheers,

Sirhr

Maybe the civilized tribes got some of my undiluted Viking genes...

The vast majority of us have Native American DNA, because contrary to Hollywood the early settlers and Indians integrated a great deal, and many tribes died out not because of war but because they became us.

Shit Sirh, that's not rambling, that's peeling off truth and wisdom like you were dealing a deck of cards. So it was, and so it is. Who we are is who we were.
I'm not complaining, because I wouldn't be any other way, but there are challenges to being a hard man in easy times. It creates a lot of resentment, because whether they want to admit it or not the soft people know they exist under our protection, without which they would flounder, and that breeds contempt. Really the whole politically correct/victim movement is an attempt to ignore facts and redefine reality so people's feelings aren't hurt. A lot of us don't have "feelings". ;)

I still say she's Fauxcahontas...

And If I'm actually wrong, I gladly offer my 1/1024th part of an apology...

Her problem isn't that she's confused about her heritage, it's that her constituents are confused about what country they're living in.

I can recall when Schumer was the Congresscritter for my Brother's district in Brooklyn. That district was so liberal socialist brainwashed that no matter who they elected, Democrat or Republican, they would still walk, quack, and smirk like Schumer.

I got out of NY because it was just a preview of Communist America. Since then, I've been able to get three more of my family out here to Free America. I took my Daughter, newly arrived this past Tuesday, with me yesterday when I ordered my new Ruger PC Carbine, and had the gentleman behind the counter show her a Ruger LC9(?). At first she was afraid to touch it, so sure she was breaking some law or other. Then the beaming, glowing smile broke out on her face when she realized she was doing something that's both legal and OK to do. It was an epiphany for her. She asked how quickly she could get her concealed carry permit, and the gentleman quietly informed her that she didn't actually need one in Arizona. More disbelief. Then she realized that she'd been a brainwashed, oppressed person nearly all her life, and she got mad. Good response, I'd say.

Yes, 1/64 to 1/1024. It is shit. The couple indian tribes i know of have require you be at least 1/16 to get any indian benefits (land or government money).
My point was that they had to "rig" the test to even get her those shitty numbers
