Greg made a mistake an was man enough to apologize. He's attacked me in the past but I understand. He's been through a lot, and takes a bunch of meds for many illnesses. That must wear on one. Hes more of a man than you will ever be despite your bluster and bullshit.
Nor can I imagine youre acting like a man rather than an arrogant little boy, who thinks he has a special dispensation here.
You dont, and neither does Veer. Im only guessing but I expect thats why he got his vacation. I hope he gets the message and learns to respect others the way he wishes to be respected.
Not arguing. Stating facts. If it's true is it arguing? me think no. Tolerated his bullshit too long and have the proof to back it up. You don't wanna know who he is. Period. I'll leave it at that. I wonder is PSA has any good deals on ammo.................
Unfortunately, he shoots more than anyone I ever heard of and he knows his shit in all areas of the shooting sports including reloading...learned a lot by reading things he wrote. Tried a few of his crazy ideas and they worked.
Yessir. Remember the gentleman that would toss his guns in the river, mud, beat the hell outta his stuff and liked electrical tape? He's legendary. If and when he comes back you'll know it right off the bat.
I duck hunt with some guys like Larry. One has “Hitler” on the stock of his taped up, hand painted Cammo, M500 in sharpie. I’ve seen him throw his gun in the mud a couple of times. Mostly anytime someone entered the blind with a nice shotgun they cared about scratching up...
You frail little "Cunt". Are you honestly trying to hand me my internet ass? Hmm stick man? Don't get me riled up or I might just have to release some PM's of your vile shit back stabbing the ever loving fuck outta Veer and Tucker. "AND" wishing someone dead. And let's not forget trying to tell people who they can and cannot befriend. You hypocritical little snitch bitch, you don't even know me. Thank me later for not exposing who and what you are Howard. Now don't you have a UTI you're suppose to be milking?
Yes Boyz n Girlz, this is the look of a genius.........
Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you, I had something worthwhile to do.
Thats about the reply I expected so, rather than have you hold it over my head and threaten me forever, we might as well get it out in the open now.
Yes I did make, in private, to someone I mistakenly respected, an unacceptable remark about Veer, but only after REPEATEDLY trying to make peace with him and getting filth thrown on me for my effort. I finally, in frustration, snapped and said the wrong thing. If I remember correctly, it was "I wont regret when his sick heart gives out and he's dead" or something to that effect. Again it was said in private, and in absolute frustration. If youre going to post the exact quote, be sure to post the one where later I pm'd you and called myself on it and said I was definitely wrong, and that if you had told Veer then I owed HIM and apology. So there it is. You want to demean my character, go ahead. There are many here who have met me and that know better. Many Ive pm's with who know better. But that seems to be your style. Bully and try to destroy.
As to youre being 'bad', Ive known a few really 'bad' guys, there are probably a couple hanging around her. Not one of them had to talk about it. they just are, they dont have to go around posting little photos with cunt written on it. Tthat doesnt say much for you. Youre not bad, you may tend to some bad men, but youre just a keyboard commando. I , on the other have, when I was younger was one of the meanest, most violent, dangerous, sons of bitches you ever met. I used to have this repeating dream about a monster...then one day I realized the monster was me. Its only by the Grace of God and a couple of angels he sent in human form that I didnt end up like the guy in the Texas Tower, or worse. Fortunately I locked that monster in a box.
Anything said about Tucker, was also only in frustration because, for whatever reason, he was protecting Veer. Allowing him to attack everyone with his filth and then banning them for defending themselves. Im not the only one who saw and remarked about that. I like it here, its one of my only social outlets, but it makes me sick to see the filth you two continually post, so sick I consider turning in my membership.
It seems he has seen the light. I hope Veer does.
I wont try to go tit 4 tat with you for stupid, filthy, or hateful, Ive learned better. Hate if far too expensive. What I will do is this: Remind you that "You reap what you sow", "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction", "What goes around comes around", and encourage you to hate me. Fill yourself with hate, roll in it, wallow in it, throw it at me. It will come back to you multiplied 30-60-100 fold. You want to hate me, please do it., I wont respond or lift a finger, Ill just let it come back to you multiplied. Working in the already hate filled environment you do, that should be beneficial for you.
Since you put up a photo of me we might as well all see and enjoy the video it was clipped from. The explanation is in the vid so Ill just say that I won "Best of Show" for my system. I got pretty drunk on Pappy's Van Winkle the night before, so yeah, I look a bit out of it. But I won.
The thing I liked about Larry, Nobody, GDR was that he didn't play the games. He didn't dance near the other side of the line, only to step back just in time to just miss the whirling blades.
No. He went in there like Leeroy Jenkins. Like the rules didn't exist and never would for him. There were no grey areas.
He was an equal opportunity offender and everyone knew where they stood with him... In the "fuck you" line.
Some of you guys get one or two reports on your outbursts a month at best. Larry would average 4 or 5 an hour.
Easy work for a mod.
Some of the recent bans have been difficult, but necessary. Sometimes I wish some of you would be more like Larry and make it more black and white.
Veer's MO has been to walk right up to that line, with whoever his chosen target of the week is, then take a step back as he shoves that target over the line with his taunts, jeers, and "web research" into their completely irrelevant activities outside of this forum. He seems to fancy himself the community gatekeeper of sorts, with his background checks and statements on who should be here and who should not. He isn't. Nor am I. Nor are you.
Despite what some of you think, how I feel personally about any of you doesn't play a factor in it when someone gets a timeout or for how long it lasts. Yes, I like some of you more than others, but I when I put the mod hat on it's about doing the job Frank wants done here. Banning to bring some of you back in line is a very small part of that job, but a necessary one.
Some of you have worked with me and others against me. Some of you have been great fellow members in other projects and we have done some cool things together. That also doesn't matter when I put on the mod hat.
Need an example? Look at Maser. I have zero use for him and never will, but he plays well behind the line, even when we attempt to tease him to cross it.
If this were my forum I'd ban him permanently today and never give it another thought. It's not my forum. It's not my life's work. It's not something I clawed and scratched and worked my ass off to create from nothing over decades.
I respect what Frank has done here, and I absolutely envy him. I don't envy his headaches and heartburn from it, but certainly his successes. I am here to help with the headaches and the heartburn. I was chosen for that. The successes are his alone, as they should be. But we all benefit.
Do members who contribute in other areas of the site get a little more latitude than those who spend all of their time in the Pit and Maggies? Absolutely.
Do some new members who all too transparently expose themselves as trolls and troublemakers get the permanent solution more than the ones who seem to be settling in and finding their place here, albeit clumsily at times?
Some of the recent posts in the tone of "We've been here for years and we're a close-knit group" to some of these new members are troubling to me. This is not a closed and gated community, and anyone who presents themselves as a serious shooting sports citizen, regardless of their race, religion, or political views, in a respectful manner and within the confines of our very forgiving guidelines is welcomed to do so.
Yes, they'll have to earn respect, but they WILL be given the opportunity to do so.
The Pit recently has gotten considerably off-track, so this week has been about getting it back under control somewhat. Just somewhat. Not overbearingly. Not highhandedly. Just back to within not only the letter of the rules and guidelines, but within their intentions - to have open and often spirited discussions, but in a civil and respectful manner, without threats, personal insults, and perhaps most importantly to the continued growth and survival of the forums; without new members being torn to shreds or afraid to even state an opinion for fear of being crucified.
Everyone who ever got banned, including me, thought it was an unjust act and that they were the victim. The good ones go back and look at what they said, what they did, and how they presented themselves, and some reality and objectivity get through to them. Some make adjustments and become better citizens. Some don't. We can work with either.
I don't care what others have said about me in the past, and whether I am liked or not in the present or the future is of little concern to me either.
It's not what I'm here for. It's not what Frank gave me this high-paying job to accomplish.
If you want to send me PM's of what someone said about me behind my back, have at it. It will not gain you any respect and it will not cost them any. The reality is that I could likely write it for them and have them sign it, and it would be close to the same.
ALL I care about, when doing the job as a moderator, is to do the job as I have been instructed to do it.
I owe exactly one person an explanation as to why anyone was banned, and he does ask from time to time.
He's been pretty quiet on this week's handful from the Pit.
Perhaps that in itself should mean something to all of us.
Larry certainly could be irritating but on the other hand he also contributed quite bit more than some others on this forum ever will. JMNHO
I think I remember him making about fifty posts in a single day. Chemical imbalance, or just figured the ban hammer was on short final and was getting his last shots in.
Larry was/is an asshole. So one sided with every topic. If you don’t use “X” you’re a fucking moron. As if there’s only one way to do anything in this sport. Deep down I’m sure he knows it’s bullshit, but he’s like a moth to a flame when it comes to starting arguments.
That's not meant to make anyone feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. It's usually said when someone busts their dick out in the middle of a conversation and when called out, decides to take it to the mat. Sometimes an explanation of who your audience is helps, because that statement is not untrue.
I don't agree with the bullying UNLESS they beg for it, like poppacock and buddly.
There's nothing wrong with a close knit group unless you use it exclude others. That's not what it means, at least when I say it. I don't have feuds on here nor do I see myself as a gatekeeper. I'm a member of a group of shooters that due to living all over the country, get together on the computer to discuss and do things they'd otherwise probably do in person were distance not an issue. I do feel like I'm part of a close group of like minded individuals though, how could I feel any other way? Generally it's the guys that have been around for a while that get involved in deeper aspects of the forum, like helping each other out, etc. I think people want to be a part of that and if so, that's all the better for the site, right?
Some of the new members are already fitting in and kicking ass. Helping others, giving and taking advice, you name it. Besides, we need new members because those of that have been here for years ain't getting any younger.
