I guess if its too risky at the border for Marines than we really do need an emergency declaration....

If he cant handle an unexpected, unbudget deployment to our border how the F is he going to handle an act of war.

Neller needs to go.

Better things for the Marines to do than homeland border enforcement in any case. Let the DOJ and the DOD stick to their corners effectively per the Constitution. If Border Security can't do it then citizens should take it upon themselves, but the reality I expect is that they won't or haven't effectively.

Fuckin' Marine Corps fending off border jumpers, lol.

Robert Neller said the “unplanned/unbudgeted” deployment along the border that President Trump ordered last fall, and shifts of other funds to support border security, had forced him to cancel or reduce planned military training in at least five countries, and delay urgent repairs at bases.
Maybe that's the damn problem we don't need to be training in at least five other countries. I mean god forbid we use our military to actually defend our own country.

Commandant of the Marines Says Deploying Troops to the Border Poses ‘Unacceptable Risk’... What about us that live down here? Isn't this douche's job to protect the homeland?

Last week they were airlifting 5 invaders out of Madera Canyon because they got caught in the snow coming across the border. I would have just slow walked this just like the emails on Hilderbeast's server.

If this guy worked for me, I'd be calling accounting and tell them to get his last check ready, I'd call HR and tell them he is being let go for dereliction of his responsibilities, and I'd tell IT to shut off his access to the servers and email. The I would sit back and wait for him to come in and tell me his computer isn't working and his badge didn't let him in after lunch... for everything else, there's Mastercard.

Went to two Marine Corps Birthday celebrations at which this guy was the guest of honor.

He made fucked up comments of a political nature at both.

First one was 2016 right after the election and he dressed down the attendees - WWII vets, Korea, Vietnam, Middle East in attendance - I get it now he was pissed Trump won.

Probably did not like the round of Ohh Rahs when "a new administration" was discussed.

Guy can, probably has, ate a bag of squid dicks.

@ArmyJerry can fire for effect on this one. Where can I get me a Second ID, USA patch?

I wonder if this guy will bend over...

Seeing as he prospered in the Obama years Im guessing so.

Trump needs to reach down and get some Sgt Major to run the Corps.

Preferably one with a lifetime 0311 MOS and two page 11s in his SRB.

Read the damn Quote "risk to combat readiness" which for you civvies means money and time to train for forward deployments. When Marines, Airborne, Fighter squadrons, Special Forces, Carrier Task force or SSN Crews go down range or go into rotation its after a rigorous structured training cycle designed to have them ready to jump into the shit at a moments notice and be fully trained up. Dinking around on the border gets in the way of said readiness. Perfectly appropriate for the Marine Commandant to bring up. Chill this is not political its about other military responsibilities forces are tasked with.

Tell him he can finish out his last two weeks, working on the border. And, that he can pickup his last paycheck, there, on the border.

That is, after dropping him down to a E-7, or an L10-11, or a DC-3, or whatever the fancy term is for a pre-boot Private?

I think the point is if we don't have a border then it doesn't matter. Why should anyone give a fuck about the Korean dmz or some African shithole we have troops in when this country is turning into the united shitholes of Guatemala.

With all due respect, until you come down here and understand clearly that the invaders are OTM and are not a bunch of women and children, then respectfully f off. These are highly trained invaders that are heavily armed and are financed. If all you know is what you see on TV then you do not have any idea what it is like on the border. These guys are seriously funded and are playing for keeps. Ask Brian Terry's family about our border. Every day these folks are coming in. It used to be the folks just trying to find a better life. We now find prayer rugs and qurans. We are being invaded, plain and simple. It has nothing to do with being a civvie.

Again, this MOFO's job is to defend us, the US citizen. If he can't do his job then step aside and follow instead of doing a damn poor job of leading. I know quite a few good Marines, and this stain is a disgrace is not one of them.

You dont dink around on the border.

You use it as a planning op.

Its a training opportunity for the logistics of the move.

It offers a great opportunity to experience field conditions and field patrolling.

Coordinate it with combined arms

Its cheaper than having them perform a move to Norway for the same experience.

Oh wait a minute they wont have a full on FOB to live out of and they may have to experience field conditions for real as if they were in a real shit hits than fan situation. How will they survive?

Your right this shit is too difficult for our military.

They dont have the skills of Pershing and his crew when he did it back in 1916.

The mil wont be down there to chase illegals. They will be their training and providing a presence.

If perhaps their presence makes some smuggler say lets avoid that area good.

If during their base security patrols they happen to come across a bunch of people in the desert or in the norther forests call the Border Patrol to perform the humanitarian mission of getting them food, shelter and a quick trip home.

Neller is just making excuses because he doesnt agree with securing the country.

Oh and by the way,,,,,tell us "civvies" which member of the JCS you are.

He is due for replacement real soon.

He is just talking because his days are numbered.

Commandant used to be a post you retired from.

Lately they seem to retread to another posting.

Im not liking that. Its your last post. If you do a good job maybe you stay through administrations but you dont go back to another position as past Commandant junior to the present commandant but kind of not really.

I hope the next guy has an 03 MOS and a bunch of shit on his blouse that shows he did the job for real.

Al Gray (Mustang) was the shit.

Luckily this guy has stated he is done after his tour.

Probably going to write a book about hating Trump.

Agree with all except #2.

Mattis did a great job smoking Russkies and dropping MOABs but when it came to this exact same issue I think he began to drag his feet.

For some reason senior leadership enjoys 18 year long wars overseas but doesnt seem to care about protecting our border.

Guess there is not enough money in it.

Who ever got a lucrative Lobbyists job after protecting El Paso?

No Patriots or Tomahawks will be used.

Just plain old fundamental soldiering of the type we will need should we ever get in a shit hits the fan war.

The lessons also apply to small unit action warfare too.

Lets see these guys hit the desert without the GPS because the scenario has the system down and they have to navigate with a lensatic compass - Oh the horror!

Maybe the Commandants point is new tasking with requirements to still accomplish prior tasking without additional resources to do both.

The only reason we are still dealing with "Old Tasking" is becasue the strategy wasnt to punish and prevent another 911.

The strategy was to fight a prolonged small unit action in order to keep a steady flow of military contracts going with a steady stream of kick backs to the political party in power. (and the heroin trade is great for funding black ops or such)

Damn the horrible never ending drip of casualties of the worst kind (two today in Afghanistan mind you). They are only the kids or parents that are no bodys - fuck em.

Our strategy in Afghanistan should have been Kill Bin Ladin.

Thats it - simple.

We are not coming to remove the Taliban that is the problem for the Afghani people. While looking for Bin Ladin the tactics to accomplish the strategic goal would have required killing as many taliban as possible but rebuilding or regoverning Afghanistan was not our issue.

Go through that shithole like a hurricane blended to a tornado mixed in with a New England Northeaster. The whirlwind storm of steel should have left every bad actor afraid to as much as utter "USA" in the fastest amount of time possible with the quickest death of Bin Ladin possible.

Instead our Strategic Goal is "Global War on Terrorism" an open ended mess that allows for the never ending war and the stripping of freedoms at home.

Our troops fought brilliantly even with one hand tied behind their backs and our government fucking blew it. It was a gift to the statists that keeps on giving.

They are enjoying our steady stream of casualties, the division this shit is causing at home and the debt that we will likely never recover from.

The asshole in New Zealand attained his goal and Bin Ladin might yet.

Nice civi, confusing air transport aircraft with military rank.

You see yourself as separate from the people you work for as well who provide you the honor of serving.

It should be a two way love fest but Im sensing you see yourself as better than your fellow citizen even when they are a Canuckian.

Yes those military types have been real conducive to a free and just society.

and by the way the mofo just got a $700 billion dollar kiss his last budget.

Being the Marine Corps it was probably just the tail end of the kiss but maybe its time to stop thinking about getting every Marine an HK416, make do with the M4s you have, and get your ass on the border

This fuckface got it.....

Vandegrift stated "The Bended Knee is not in the tradition of Our Corps"

Im saying that the words "We (I) cant" should never fucking ever cross the lips of a Marine.

Even if individually you cant, your last dying breath uttered to the Marine passing you should be used to say "Let me help you"

Arizona, good place for me...
General Neller, this Marine says you're an unprincipled asshole.

You follow your orders, or you offer your resignation, just like the most recently former Sec Def, a far more able and principled Marine than yourself.

I live down here, 50 miles from the Border in Arizona, and CBP officers are my fiends. They do the job day in and day out, regardless of whether they're being unpaid due to politically incongruous 'government shutdowns'.

Their dedication and commitment belie your statements. Take your political objections, and/or more disappointing strategic assessments, pack them in your bag, and apply for retirement. It's a far, far better thing that you'd be doing for the reputations of the rest of more loyal to National Authority Marines than yourself than prognosticating your disloyalty to your undeniable Commander in Chief.

You no longer belong in my Corps, Sir.

Follow this link for more of what we see all the time down here. More mules with drugs and comms. It never stops. Run people to distract, then run through the drugs. These guys are heavily armed too. We have hundreds of pictures on game cams. Forward and rear guards, everyone in camo. Spotters in the hills. I'm telling you this is an invasion.

Jerry, why don't you go down to the border and start setting shit up for them instead of bitching? I'll even go with you. Personally, I'd rather we use the USMC to fucking invade Mehico if the security threat is really that great. Having them secure the border is like burning a few leaches off with an Apollo 10 rocket.
