I started a GoFundMe, not to sound all hippie but thinking 17 years is a long time to be at war with no end in sight. If anyone would like to help out, you can message me here. Right now I don't have any funding but I got a line on a couple grand to get the first batch of stickers. Also if you have any design ideas.

I don't set too many rules except for the scope of the project is very narrow, this is 100% non-profit, you have to leave all politics at the door... meaning I don't care why or how the war ends, ending is just that. Then if we can focus our attention on the next project etc...

Hi,

How is giving away bumper stickers that other people pay for going to end the Afghanistan war?
That is like saying "Shit Happens" purely because of the bumper stickers......

Sincerely,
Theis
Restated: why would you think that the SnipersHide is a good place to mine for people dumb enough to give money for this.

Even negative criticism can help... but personal attacks aren't really productive.
Hi,

You are correct...personal attacks are not really productive but not to sound too much like a "Realist"....they are about as productive as a bumper sticker changing a damn thing.
If all it took was "feelings" and a bumper sticker to affect change then we should probably make a list to include the following actions we want changed and get some bumper stickers made for:

1. Ending Child Abuse
2. Ending Child Hunger
3. Ending Child Homeless
4. Ending Domestic Violence
5. Ending Rape
6. Ending Government Overreach
7. Ending Cancer
8. Ending Obesity

And the list goes on and on, and on.

Sincerely,
Theis

I think many of the contributors to this site would like to see this particular war come to an eventual close, but only after the Taliban and their numerous malcontent offspring have been hung from the rafters with piano wire and emasculated. We started kicking their teeth in for a reason, that reason is they are evil and need to have their actions put to a halt. To end the war arbitrarily without removing the problem just punts the problem down the road for another generation and raises a big middle finger to the many families who have lost fathers, sons, daughters, and mothers trying to make the world a more hospitable place and protect our way of life. To just end the war because we're tired of it plays into exactly what they want us to do. Maybe in a comfortable American suburb you feel like you're safe enough and it won't really effect you anyway but you have to remember that our many allies who brought the fight with us are much closer and have more at stake in a lot of ways. WE pulled our support from Afghanistan in the 80s after they repulsed the ussr and what happened? We got the taliban. We pulled out of Iraq without a conditions based plan and what happened? We got Isis. If the pull out method worked we wouldnt have 8 billion people on the planet and a huge body of dependent voters.stickers won't help, they just make your vehcile easier to track, Save your money for history books, water, and ammunition. Keep your rifle clean and your powder dry.

Fighting in the Middle East has been going on for centuries and it will continue to and it will only get worse the more western involvement happens. Iraq is the prime example of that. I'm not going to go full blown Alex Jones here with my conspiracy theory about how/why ISIS/ISIL was created, but I will say that Iraq wasn't even remotely as much of a shithole as it is nowadays when Saddam was in charge. Sure, he was a brutal dictator and what he had happen in Dujail in 1982 was over the top, but the man knew how to run his country with an iron fist and keep his people in line. Do you think for a second that he would have allowed ISIS to exist in his country? Hell no!

As far as the GoFundMe thing goes, my bullshit alarm always goes off when I see those in regards to sensitive subject matters because all too many times I have seen these cause turn out to be total bullshit and the person who starts the fundraiser pockets the money and is never seen again on the internet. Yeah, I am a skeptic.

First thanks for all the input and information.

Second I'm in Michigan's upper peninsula so I cant get a signal, but I will answer questions when I get back Tuesday.

To answer most of the questions, this is just to bring awareness of the issue. It's not a fundraiser, but more to get ideas... examples of stickers people would like.

Thanks...

Although to a lesser extent than in Viet Nam, the military is still hog tied by politics when it comes to Afghanistan. If the military received very clear, aggressive, total war orders for Afghanistan with no orders to do anything other than crush the Taliban and other Muslim extremist organizations, and rebuilding the country was not part of those orders, I am confident that they could finish the job in six months or less.

But as with most things, politics and world opinion. sticks it's fingers into the mix.

However, a former Commandant of the Marine Corps said War is politics, and politics is war.

I'm just getting a phone signal, but I cant help tell you that's not an option. I don't want to start pointing fingers but we all know who can leave the other alone. I'm an American first and I'm not saying she can't make bad decisions but I'll always be on her team.

The war in Afghanistan 17 years on sucks. It was the most just war ever to embark on that got totally porked by pols that saw a means to abuse us and profit.

Hitlers goal was a constant state of war as a means to Darwinian evolution ours is constant war to gain power and money for a political elite.

Afghanistan should have been made glass on one weekend and the troops should have been BBQ'ing in Conus the next weekend.

Afghanistan could have than piled the dust into shelters on their own as an example to the rest of the world crimes such as 9/11 are committed at a price.

Global War on Terror is not a strategy. Its theft of treasury and decency at the cost of the best American lives. Im starting to think its a purposeful blood letting to get rid of Alpha males and replace them with these effeminate guys that wear those stupid business suits that are a size or two too small.

That said.........

Why dont we start a #EndthewarinAfghanistan?

Im sure it will be as effective and dumb as #bringourgirlsback

Bumper stickers put you into catagories, they label you plan and simple. They let the world know who you are at a moments notice.
Plus when you put it on a painted bumper it tells me your a fuck turd because that never comes off clean.

Sure I have my "labels" on my car and Im sure they certainly say something about who I am but its up to the viewer to determine if that is good or bad, are you offended by a US Flag, USMC roundel and another version of the US Flag - the Gadsden?

I dont put my politics on my vehicle yet some would say I do as Patriotism is anathema to half the country.

Yet these same people blindly follow party with the fervor I follow country. which of us is healthier and more inclusive?

I can really only say I know three people that upon seconds of meeting have made me aware of their politics and the statement is something along the lines "Im a wicked liberal".

My wife this week, while attending my daughters 5th grade camp had a women apropos of nothing proclaim Im a liberal" and it really put my apolitical wife off. She is a good "canary in a coal mine" for me to observe because if I see something political pissing her off its an indication of what the fence sitter is feeling.

These proclaimed "liberals" are certainly not "Liberal". Anything but.

Their political announcements are notice believe and say as I do and say or I am going to go ape shit and shut down any points in my brain that have to deal with reason and thought.

99% of the time when I see a Hillary or Liz warren bumper sticker its not even level on the vehicle.

It drives me nuts.

These slobs are so proud and excited to proclaim their loyalty they cant even take the time to put the fucker on straight.

Also notice within a month or so the edges of the sticker are peeled or the thing, in a blessing for my tired eyes, has ripped in half eliminating the message.

This tells me the dumb fucks couldnt even take the time to clean the road shit off the vehicle in order to secure the sticker to a clean surface.

Sloppy, lazy and dumb - great constituency!

USMC sticker is a honorable label but on the coast line those left wing nut jobs might think different.

I have some labels, they are on the back glass, like the above I don’t give a shit either what anyone thinks but mine don’t say eat at joes or anything political.

Someday I will have a milk jug on the rear window.

Fuck em.

If it bothers them they should engage me.

I do fear though, especially with the Gadsden, some fuck will key my car.

libs I feel never fear their car will get keyed for their "Resist" sticker but for a conservative its a real fear their property will be damaged if they have a "Make America Great Again" sticker.

Says alot about the two sides.

As an American, I support and defend your 1st Ammendment right. However, if you want to improve America, use those funds to help Soldiers with PTSD or even families that have lost fathers or mothers defending the nation. A long war like AFG has victims on both sides. If you are serious about changing a policy, then you have to do much more than slap a sticker on a car. Stickers and political panderings only bring derrision between Americans. Unity is what made America strong. A strong and healthy nation will make rational decisions.

I would never put a bumper sticker or decal on my car for fear someone with the opposite view will key my car...................
Had a 73 Vega POS in the early 80s. Had a "slightly" altered Greenpeace bumper sticker that said "Nuke the Whales" instead. Parked it on the strret visiting my aunt in SF. I guess the libtards were afraid of ruining their key on the rust so they just spraypainted "asshole" on the trunk with an arrow to the sticker. I wore that badge proudly!

If changing the ROE would get it done, or some chemical/biological solution I don't care. It's not about me I'm just looking for suggestions on stickers and input. I couldn't care about non-americans less just want to be an isolationist, and not in danger our men&women in service.

I’m old enough to remember a home where there where exactly 0 things made in China...

My only real question is around if our adventurism in other regions wars might have some good in showing some of our potential enemies that a conventional war with the US mostly consists of your key warfighting assets magically blowing up.

I can certainly say that this tactic worked in Georgia with the Russians. People were starting to view them as a pushover and it’s not reality, and Georgia reminded the rest of the world that Russia is still not a friendly opponent.

And some of the reason we are in Astan is probably fodder for an Opsec chat, but i’ll just say i still overall think it’s a good idea.

Hi,

So EVERYTHING in your home and transportation is made in USA right?
Do you have any idea of what is required to be an "isolationist"?
How many successful "Isolationist" countries do you know of?

Sincerely,
Theis

Hi,

@The King
That rotary phone was made with all USA parts and components? :)
The parts for the 8 track player in the auto was made with all USA parts and components?
Where did most rubber used in automobile tires back then come from? It wasn't from the USA.

Sincerely,
Theis

Then what?
That's the problem with that plan, and that plan has actually been tried many times by successive powers over the millennia, often with just as much if not more brutality that you want.

So you kill a huge amount of people and bomb their country back into the same rubble pile it is most of history... then you'll have a couple generations growing up knowing only that they must hate with all their minds all evil foreigners who kill everyone, while the most ruthless and evil of the local warlords or the worst religious group takes over...

Or you go on full genocide and kill everyone... then the area will quickly be repopulated by people from other countries and the cycle will repeat again.

The middle east has been a hotbed of war and hatred for pretty much all recorded human history, it's stupid to think you'll make it better anytime soon.

Just stay out of the sandbox and tell them to stay in the sandbox & if they come out of sandbox you'll have to squish them.
