Damn... as retarded as NASCAR is now, I'm surprised that the Whole Foods Market Prius isn't battling it out with the Starbucks Tercel Hybrid to manage to beat the Panera Bread Fiat 500 over the finish line... and everyone will get a gold star and a hummer from Bill Ayers? I am so done with NASCAR... so much fail...

Please noone tell that lefty fruits at the EU in Brussels that the Isle of Mann TT and the Dakar are still open to real men...

What a total waste of time. Even the commercials sucked. The KFC 'Colonel' shit was creepy. Not to mention Rap ads for insurance.

WTF, we should never have let New Yawk and Connecticut suburbanite knob-gobblers to watch racing.

Yes! My boys and I waste at least an hour every weekend watching old Group B videos. Sometimes we just crank the volume for background music and go about our business. The wifes not so keen on that..

I still watch NASCAR Sprint Cup, despite declarations that I was done. But it's getting to that, "What's the point...?" moment.

Micromanaged to death by the rules, so plagued with multi-car wrecks that outcomes are based more on luck than skill or engineering, it appears to have boiled down to a sadomasochistic ritual for ghouls.

Yet, I watch. What does that tell me about me?

Maybe this is that first indisputable evidence of my senility (shakes head...).

WTF is this rally cross shit they have now?
NASCAR got stupid when the bumpers disappeared and every car became a cookie cutter inside and out

I was done with NASCSR when it became a $$$$ spending gear race. It’s not about the drivers or the team or even just the braggin’ rights as in the early days. It’s about the $$$ and the prizes. it’s about the “research” and the gear required to collect same. Unfortunately … (I see the flaming ready to begin already) … our field style rifle matches are following that path.
Flame on …

Oh fkn hell yes ! The sound of the E2 Quattro was like some insane animal trying to kill you . The 1000
Lakes was my favourite , the factory cars were hitting over 135 mph through the trees . The current
WRC cars seem tame by comparison : you could see fear in the eyes of the drivers of the old B cars .
0-60 time is interesting : GpB Quattro under 3 seconds , current WRC VW Polo around 4 seconds .
30 years later and they still haven’t found that second ...

Actually , I agree. Too many motorsports have a shit ‘ tyre to HP ratio ‘ . More HP and less grip = more
skill required to operate , especially without ghey traction control . The analogy in field rifle comps might
be no bags at all of any kind , and 308 / 155 bullet / standard reamer like sling shooting . Can I borrow
your flame suit ? .....

If it is as bad as you all say--and I believe that it is--then why don't you turn off the TV and do something productive?

Shooting, for example.

I, too miss the Killer B's. And the Moto GP 500cc 2 stroke bikes that would high side you if you blinked at the wrong time. Or seize an engine just for the hell of it. Now F-1 is hybrid racing between M/B and Ferrari with the lamest ass sounding race cars I've ever heard plus now the GP bikes even know what corner they are in, whoopee! Can't wait for the IOM TT races.

F1 need to throw out the rule book......and only have rules regarding safety equipment........F1 should be the pinnacle of motor sports technology.....if they want to have ion thrust boosters on their cars, let them.

NASCAR needs to go back to basing their cars on production car chassis......no more of this building a race car from scratch and slapping a plastic body on it.......if makers want to be competitive, they need to make competitive cars......

USAC midgets, in my opinion are the most entertaining cars to watch. 1100lbs - 400+ hp short wheelbase, twitchy as all hell.

Great race from 2012

I used to watch and attend NASCAR, now I don’t even bother turning it on. I live 20 minutes from RIR and you can still buy a cheap ticket the day before the race. Never used to be that way, boring and to many rules.

While I agree with most of this, I’m still a fan of racing. While I do prefer dirt, I just try to enjoy the race, whatever it may be.

Luckily in North West Ohio I’m surrounded by great dirt tracks with sprint cars both winged and non winged, late models and other classes. But truly almost every one of those drivers is wanting to reach the highest levels of the sport. I wish I had more time to attend locally. But I’m still a fan, whatever the racing may be.

I'm sure Liberal SJWs label me as a sociopath because I find the only thing entertaining about NASCAR is the crashes. Much like how when I ever watch PBR or Mexican bull fighting, I always root for the bull to fuck up the human.
