I sent my action and trigger in when this all started, and Justin just called and said it is ready to ship back. New cocking piece and turned down bolt body.
$175 I can spend on chambering instead? Is there any reason to not modify to small pin?
Yes they are . High single digit SD’s as well with both@NVScout
So are the first 10, shots 20-30 the 212 ELDX?
I'm waiting impatiently on an SR3 and shouldered Proof Sendero CF....
I’m about to post a Bartlien fluted 3b 28 Nosler for a SR3 if your interested !!@NVScout

Did you get any velocities?Little range report from a fresh build ! I replaced a 28 Nosler barrel on my SR3 with a proof savage prefit and am pretty impressed so far. Here are shots 20-40 with factory 212’s and 225’s. Can’t wait to see how some 230 A-tips pan out.
26” barrelDid you get any velocities?
My rifle shoots the 212 factory ammo in the .3’s at 2830 FPS.
I pulled apart 2 each from two different boxes. All four had exactly 78.5 powder with 215 primers.
I thought it was H1000 until I shot it over the magnetospeed and got 2830 FPS average. Maybe it’s retumbo?
Barrel nut setup? Or shouldered?I’m about to post a Bartlien fluted 3b 28 Nosler for a SR3 if your interested !!
Shouldered , cut for 195’s by Dallas laneBarrel nut setup? Or shouldered?
What action and what barrel contour you going with? You going to flute the bolt and the barrel? What stock do you think you will use? I may try to do about the same thing...but in a 6.5PRC for hunting...and the 300PRC as a ELR gun.7lb hunting rifle is the goal
Heh...I'm not wanting a 300PRC under 20lbs myself...and with an aggressive muzzle break. I think I'm at about 25lbs and going up now.Not sure you guys want 300PRC under 10lbs. I personally prefer hunting magnum rifle around 10lbs. But thats just my opinion everybody is different. Any load data on 230gr A-Tip with H1000?
Awesome speed with the 230 atip. That was my plan is to get the 230 Atips at 3k plus but some were saying not possible or its WAY over pressure and get a norma instead. Even in the 29" tube I was going to spin up. I figured it wouldn't be hard to get but I'm glad you are seeing it without issue.Bartlein 28" 1-9tw running 80.5 grains was averaging 3040fp/s across 2 different chornos. I should have my Labradar back soon....I...err....dropped it.
If it didn’t have a break or can I’d agree with you. I shoot a 12lb 338 and it’s not nearly as bad as you’d think. Feels about like a 12 gauge with slugs. Without the break it’s a bit more painful, but still not unbearable. My 458 win on the other hand... fuck that gunNot sure you guys want 300PRC under 10lbs. Is that the internal measurement on that mag box?Several posts back, Dave Tooley used the phrase "easy button" to describe the update from 300 win mag to 300 PRC. I am hoping that also applies to the Rem 338 win mag. My current config includes a detachable 3 round mag box that measures 3.70 inches. Will I be able to make the conversion with a simple barrel change?
I load my 215 bergers to 3.700 which is 20 off the lands with the Sammi spec reamer spun up by Dave Tooley. Your COAL will be shorter with the 225s also. So looks like you should be good.Yes, internal.
CIP mags to make it worth it. If it's a rem 700 get the KRG bravo LA stock for a cheap fix to that issue. The Cadex SH deal for the Strike nuke isn't a bad budget option either. But if your going to rebarrel and need another stock or chassis, might as well start fresh. Will the .300 PRC run in .300wm mags or would i need XL bottom metal and CIP mags to make it work?
I'am thinking about rebarreling my .300wm to .300 PRC.
How about on factory loads?CIP mags to make it worth it.
