I have a 300 blackout built on a Savage Axis, and is also suppressed. Nice little gun...the only thing I don't like about it is the horrible Axis stock

I have been shootin the remington micro seven for a year or so and really like it. I have shot hogs and deer but never subsonic. i have been worried about bullet expansion until this past weekend i tested the lehigh max expansion and they opened up great

It's a pretty sweet gun. I like the size the most it's a short gun even with the can on it

    Re: 300 blk bolt gun

The subs drop like a brick. If your running a bolt...you better be damn good at judging distance and then the proper hold.

Fast follow shots are a must otherwise that quarry (say a coyote) will be out of your reticle holds in about 3-5 seconds. Forget about dialing +40 MOA on the fly for a modest distance.

The heavy projo's buck wind well....and your throwing in essence a brick.

Why wouldn't you just build a 308 and load up some subsonic for it.

having owned and shot both... two reasons, 300blk is way more efficient and quieter that 308 in subs... also cheaper (slightly) to load

Or better yet load full speed .308 ammo. Its still gonna be quiet...just not subsonic ammo quiet. First round hits and the capability to keep shooting on target is more important than being "Hollywood" quiet. Suppressed weapons do a good job of confusing game of the direction in which the round came from.

I haven't shot my 308 since I got my blackout I use the 110 gr. vmax on deer and hogs dropped the hogs in there tracks and killed a deer at 150 yards not much long range with it but 200 yard subsonic steel shooting is fun

I put my 300BO using Savage Axis. I haven't shot it yet, since I'm still in the process of converting my brass.

I cut the stock on my Axis since I liked the shorter LOP.

    I went with a 16.5" McGowen barrel.

Rem 700, 223 bolt face, blued, Trued, 16.5 " barrel. Flutes on barrel and bolt, AICS 1.5. Running a TBAC 30p-1. It's sickly quiet. Great to 300 yards. Minute of deer at least.

Took this doe at 220 with the blackout.

We can custom make you one. Pic a barrel, we can go with a stock Rem 700 SPS tac. And go from there

Here is a CZ 527 I built in 30-221. It worked out wonderfully and didnt' have any of the ejection issues that the Remington 700 does sometimes. They use a detachable mag from the factory and have a very nice single set-trigger. Nice and lightweight with all the good things a smaller action offers. I built a few using the Remington 799 which was an imported Zastava built mini-mauser action. The only mod on most of these guns is the barrel since they were made in .223. The CZ mags need to have relief slots milled in them to clear the wider .30 cal bullet but its a simple mod.

    Minute of deer lol.

That is by far the sexiest non-gasser blackout ever.

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. The first time I shot RangerWalker71's blackout, I knew I had to have one more. He is currently building me a bolt blackout after his blueprint.

    Re: 300 blk bolt gun

Just got this one all together on a stainless AXIS. BFG bbl, Weaver Kaspa 2.5-10 mil-dot, with my YHM Phantom. 208 Amax subs are Hollywood quiet. I have a good variety of super and sub ammo loaded up to try some different loads in it, just waiting on some good weather. I think I am really going to like this set up on pigs and varmints and close deer hunting. Bolt knob mod will be in the very near future for it, the bolt lift on these is in a terrible relation to the scope, it needs about 3/4-1 inch longer knob on it.

This is true, I have also loaded sub .308 and IDK why .300 is more quiet, but it is.

The Black out is great, I'm not sure why a 308 is louder then the 300BO. I have shot both side by side. same bullets and all.
I am very happy with my 300BO. can't wait to kill some pigs over the next month or so with it. big Hunt coming up in a couple of weeks.
    I'll post some pic's.

The one on the left was fired into a block of wood at 10 yards ad the other was dug out of the dirt at 100 yards. Both have about the same performance

that is awesome. So at 300 yds I will be able to kill deer/ hogs? I have a 308 for anything further, however the 300 would be for my regular hunting trips

my gun store has like 2-3 of these, wanted to hold one but I had to leave. Seems like a nice brush gun.
