    First LPVO advice

The Trijicon Accupoint with the triangle reticle isn't the newest or sexiest, but in my mind still the closest an LPVO comes to a reflex sight. Also available in 1-6X Got to 4:50 to see a head to head run between a reflex sight (Trijicon MRO) and the Accupoint. That guy has quite a few more...

    First LPVO advice

No idea if the Vudu reticle is daylight bright, but that is a damned good question. Like you, I consider an "Aimpoint bright" reticle mandatory for this application. That weeds out a shitload of scopes right off the bat.

How much better can I expect a trued action to shoot?

LOL as if lathes and mills capable of holding ± .0005" and grinders capable of holding ± .00005" were a recent invention........

    First LPVO advice

The key statement you've made is in yellow. All my advice flows from it. I can tell you this from personal experience after going through this same thing: make damned sure you bias the reticle choice towards simplicity. What makes reflex optics with a single red dot for reticle so blindingly...

    Guilty until proved innocent

That woman needs to be made to disappear forever. Where to and how I do not care. It's the only justice in this case.

    MDT Oryx Chassis

That's disappointing, since it can be designed around.

    Longevity of 22LR Barrels

Of the many things to worry about regarding rimfire firearms this one is pretty much at the bottom of the list.

    MDT Oryx Chassis

@MDT_Josh did you guys design out the need to mill out the rear of the bottom of the Howa action to accept AICS magazines on this chassis and the new competition chassis?

    ARC Mags

@Guiseppe83 Mine do not. The two I have work flawlessly whether there is one cartridge or ten in them.

    ARC Mags

Five pages worth of people having problems and fixes to those problems. I think I'll stay away and keep buying what I already have because it works.

Friend asked to take him shooting the next day then goes out drinking without inviting me

There's a big gap between writing a paper and stepping up to operate the real thing under stress.

Friend asked to take him shooting the next day then goes out drinking without inviting me

Well, I guess you think I just threw the book at this guy's feet and told him to read it and fuck off. I guess you weren't there to see the several hours of hands on mentoring I gave him with my reloading equipment and the chapter by chapter review of the reloading manual showing him which...

Friend asked to take him shooting the next day then goes out drinking without inviting me

I was never given a choice on how I was to be taught. Not in grammar school, not in middle school, not in high school, not at the Naval Academy, not in any Navy school I ever was sent to, not in grad school, and not at any job I've ever had. Millenials with that excuse can choke on a cock.

Friend asked to take him shooting the next day then goes out drinking without inviting me

When it comes to rifles and handguns, agree with one exception. He's a solid shooter who's idea of going to the range is the same as mine: to shoot and to improve. Sorry, I have a root canal scheduled FUCK NO. That's another one I forgot. I once agreed to help a guy learn to reload. He...

You say that as if that was a problem

Friend asked to take him shooting the next day then goes out drinking without inviting me

I no longer offer to teach anyone to shoot and politely find a way to decline requests to do so. The few times that I tried years ago almost always ended with me cutting off the lesson short when the other person could not grasp simple concepts like keeping the finger off the fucking trigger...

Legal Precedent May Be CNN's Friend

That's sort of the point, jefe.

    And so it begins...

Think of it as dandelions on your lawn. When you try to eradicate them by pulling them up out of the ground, the leaves break off leaving the roots still alive underground and weeds come back. Cops are the leaves. Legislators are the roots.

    And so it begins...

If you're going to shoot someone over this, cops are the wrong target. The right targets work in legislatures and courts.
