Anyone know who makes the barrel nut for the Proof Switch gun?

We make a barrel nut that doesn't require a special wrench, just a 1-1/4" wrench or a medium adjustable wrench will do it. Available in SS or Black nitride (+$5)

New 'production' rifle from PVA - J. Hancock

If the extractor has a flat it's gen 2. If it doesn't it's gen 1. THat's simple. No, I'm not updating extractors. If you have an issue with yours call ARC and they will replace it.

Hancock status - Marking Variance FINALLY Recieved

I won't ever see a blem, it can't be sold legally. I talked to Ted and he said the lasering work is done. The actions are headed to Nitride now. I should see the first ones sometime right about the 1st week of November.

PVA Status Updates: Hancock Rifle & NUCLEUS Barreled Action

We are in the midst of cutting more barrels for the next batch of Nucleus actions that arrived. The Samsung decided to spring a leak and start pumping coolant into the hydraulic system so I'm fixing that while Jeremy is working on the Haas lathe getting barrels for Nucleus orders worked on...

PVA Status Updates: Hancock Rifle & NUCLEUS Barreled Action

JHR Update: I spoke to Ted on Saturday and he confirmed to me that all the laser work for the first 80 JHR receivers is complete. The actions are going to nitride today. The nitride process is pretty quick, a week or two at most. We should be seeing the very first production JHR receivers in...

6.5 PRC in long or short nucleus action

We made a couple barrels for Nucleus short actions in 6.5 PRC The customers have had them for several months and I have only heard that they are shooting well. Noboby has complained about ejection issues or anything else.

    Nucleus defects (renamed thread)

I'm trying to figure out how to educate folks on this topic without coming across harsh or rude. THere is a propensity on here to talk about timing and trigger cock on close like it's a flaw in design. It seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding of how a bolt action receiver works and it...

    Nucleus defects (renamed thread)

I am replying from my phone standing in front of a lathe right now so please excuse the brevity up front. We just got 2 phone calls about this thread and I felt I need to respond before it gets totally upside down on our rifle due to internet broken-telephone The JHR is something that will be...

Zermatt Arms New "Origin" Bolt Action Receiver

The barrels should be listed with a checkbox right now that say "Cut for BarLoc" I don't think we have the BL hardware itself listed on the website just due to our busy pace in the machine shop, Jeremy nor I have had a chance to take pics and list it. We do have them on hand though.

    Preferred AI Barrel Maker/Smith?

Dave Tooley's been doing it longer than any of the rest of us mentioned and he does a fine job at it and he's a great guy. That said, I feel we (PVA) make a pretty darn good barrel ourselves. We are also making shoulderless AI prefits with a barrel nut that will accept the BarLoc setup for...

    Nucleus Orders

Typically for home use get a pair from the same manufacturer, then after that it doesn't matter because you're not likely to be using it day in and day out nor are you using it to match the company that ground the reamer. If you're just setting a barrel nut barrel onto a Nucleus you really only...

Hancock status - Marking Variance FINALLY Recieved

I spoke to Ted yesterday and today. The laser progress on the first 80 receivers is going well, the first article sample pics look AWESOME. More will come as I know more.

    Nucleus Orders

A couple important corrections here: MOST catridges are 0.004 from GO to NOGO Field is typically GO+0.006 The 50BMG in a machine gun is 12 IIRC I can't think of anything that's 0.010" Also, scotch tape is normally about 0.0015" per ply Masking tape is 2 Blue Painters tape is 2-2.5 depending...

Hancock status - Marking Variance FINALLY Recieved

I'm not sure, that's a question for ARC but my SUSPICION is no. The reason being that they made us 80 receivers that have been sitting on the side now for some months. They started lasering them yesterday for us since we now have the marking variance to legally allow it. The process is to...

    New production class rifle

The reason they don't is very likely the same reason I don't. There isn't margin available in the cost model to put space in there for every dealer who can get an FFL to wet their beak. I'm sure you can all imagine how fast my emails and phones blew up when the Hancock was announced, not...

    ORIGIN Orders

Hey guys, First, let me take a quick second to apologize on the spotty comms the last couple weeks. My wife and I had a baby on Aug 30 which came me out of the shop for a couple days and only partial time for a few more, then Jeremy went on a (MUCH NEEDED) vacation and we had some illness...
