Necking down .308 to .260 problem

I tried reading all the posts so if I missed the suggestion I apologize. Measure the neck OD at the mouth, the mid-point and just above the juncture of the neck/shoulder. My theory is that your bushing die isn't sizing all the way down the neck and you have a bulge at the bottom of the neck. If...

Alpha vs. Accurate Short Mag Magazine Rehash

Thanks! I ordered two of them and, yes, I do have a brand new Stiller magnum bolt sitting here for the build.

Alpha vs. Accurate Short Mag Magazine Rehash

OK. I've decided on Accurate Mags for my PRC build. Next question, since it really isn't 100% clear to me from their description, would be will their 300WSM mag work with a short action? Again, I am using a Stiller TAC30 AW action for the build.

    MR2000 , 185 Jugs in .308

I actually went as high as 47.5 grains without issues. Have seen no issues with excess pressure but that was my rifle, not anyone else's.

    MR2000 , 185 Jugs in .308

I've been shooting the 185 Hybrid with 47.2 grains 2000MR (Lapua brass) thru my 26" Bartlein 5R ten twist for about two years now. Last time I chrono'd I was 2820 FPS and needed 8.7 mils to get to 1,000 yards from 100 yard zero.

    6mm Dasher Die Question

For unturned necks the .266 will be too tight. A ..267 bushing should give you the neck tension the Dasher likes (or at least that is what I've found).

To the top with lower price. This is a great deal especially if you consider there is over $500 in brass and dies that got with it.

Alpha vs. Accurate Short Mag Magazine Rehash

Piss-poor CS has seemed to be the most prevalent comment on Alpha in every thread. I would love to be able to just tune the AIAW mag and run them but have been told they would just not work for a short mag. Are there any other players that I may be missing for short mag magazines?

All I need them to do is hold and feed five rounds most of the time. Since you have both which brand works the best the most?

Alpha vs. Accurate Short Mag Magazine Rehash

OK, before you admonish my Google skills and tell me this has al been covered before, I want the CURRENT first hand experiences with these mags. If you don't like them because of a rattle or any cosmetic issue then I don't need your input. I am building a 6.5PRC and need mags that will feed it...

    6mm Dasher Die Question

Agreed that neck sizing works the brass less but not the best reloading practice. It has been proven time and again that correctly FL sizing brass every time during loading has no ill effect on brass and, in fact, may allow it to last longer. I have 6 Dasher brass that has been FL sized over...
