Zero stop shim sets for SWFA Super Sniper scopes

You received the correct contents. We've changed what we send, but haven't updated the video. Your assumption about the labeling is incorrect. You must use one or the other of the two thick shims. They are thick because they take up some dead space in the turret. The shim labeled "1" takes...

    Savage MKII

I put one in a Boyd's tacticool. It's cheap. I modded mine to have an adjustable cheek piece. The other got spendier. I put it in an MDT chassis. It's MUCH better, but a ton more money.

    Savage MKII

I have a couple of them, one was my first trainer and the second is my daughter's rifle. Both shoot incredibly well considering the modest cost.

Mile High sponsored .22LR Tactical Match - Denver Front Range this Saturday (8/18/2018)

The match was a lot of fun. Roy and crew put a lot of time and effort (a really lot) and it showed. The stages were well designed and super entertaining. They had a couple of target set ups I’d not seen before that were fun and challenging. I especially enjoyed the hostage target. On the long...

Mile High sponsored Tactical .22LR match - Denver August 18th (Saturday)

The match was a lot of fun. Roy and crew put a lot of time and effort (a really lot) and it showed. The stages were well designed and super entertaining. They had a couple of target set ups I’d not seen before that were fun and challenging. The range was very nice. Flush toilets and running...

What equipment for Comp Dynamics Team Safari?

Basic PRS gear plus: GOOD LRF. Good glass is key to finding targets (you find them on the clock). You're better off with two so both can be looking. Two tripods. We carry our binos attached, then swap them off if the shooting position demands shooting from a tripod. Really, that's it. I...

    SWFA SS specific questions

10X isn't enough for me, so I own the 16X (qty 2) and the 20X. I like variable power, and I like magnification, especially for a new shooter. If it were me in your shoes, I'd pop for the 3-15. It takes quite a while to get to the point where you can align your rifle on a distant target and...

    Ultimate Mountain Rifle Scope

Tracking with Leupy is hit or miss, but I put a Mark AR on an ultralight AR I was going to carry in the Sniper Adventure Challenge. Weight was my number one concern. It was about the same price. I found it to be surprisingly decent. It tracked well when I checked it, and the glass was really...

Is there a clear winner for best glass?

I've been shooting Hosers match since back when they were steel pdogs and we shot on the 425 berm. Shot the Carson match at least a dozen times. I'm guessing we know each other... Op, sorry for the hijack. We will meet up and get back to you with our answer on the best glass. We will continue...

Is there a clear winner for best glass?

Eh, I like conversations about best glass. Not every conversation is real life has to be sharply focused and clearly defined to be enjoyable. Why must it be so here? I have an abiding interest in good glass purely for the joy of looking through it. I measure tracking on a jig, because that's...

Zero stop shim sets for SWFA Super Sniper scopes

No. The 1-4 and 1-6 use very fine pitch threads. The shims end up paper thin and are extremely difficult to make.

How accurate is your 22 rifle?

I get about 3/4 moa. That's a 60 shot group at 50m. 5 shot groups at 100y are about the same. Rem 40X repeater Lilja Barrel, 24" Eley Edge, lot tested to my gun AICS Steiner 5-25 Fluffy rear bag. Someday I'll test again with a nice hard rear bag. I don't expect much improvement, but...

Side Chargers- left nonreciprocating or right reciprocating?

I have no experience with a right side charger. I do have a JP with a left side charger, and I think that would be my preference if I had to choose. As the poster above stated, I can keep my right hand where it belongs and maintain my shooting position while charging with my left. I've...

Zero stop shim sets for SWFA Super Sniper scopes

Interesting news. Skylar at SWFA has declared the stops for the 5-20 as good to go now. Use of them will NO LONGER void your warranty. Thanks Skylar!

SWFA 5-20 vs. Burris XTRII 5-25 or 4-20

So the thing about better glass for me is not about seeing the target, it's about all the other little details before and after the shot. Through really good glass, I'll see grass moving, dust in the air, even insects or general debris moving in the breeze. Before he shot, I get a better idea...

SWFA 5-20 vs. Burris XTRII 5-25 or 4-20

SLG, this is the first time I've heard that the zero stops would NOT void the warranty on the 5-20. I'm guessing the person you spoke to is confused. They don't void the warranty on all the other SWFA scopes, but I'm 99% certain they do on the 5-20. Back to topic, if this matters to you...
